THE ROLE
The Production Director, Amplify is a key role with a primary responsibility for providing operational oversight and management of Off Venue Hospitality experiences for Olympic & Paralympic Games Stakeholders and Custom Groups.
This leader will play a key role in managing budgets, services and delivering hospitality experiences for Stakeholder and Custom Group programs. The hospitality experiences could include both public fans and private invited guests enjoying catering, entertainment, brand/sport activations and athlete appearances plus VIP, press and media events.
This position will work in tandem with the division’s leads and other team members as well as other key workstreams - including but not limited to commercial strategy, marketing, legal and operations - to meet and exceed client expectations as well as create effective & efficient processes and a positive & productive working environment.
This is a strategic role requiring equal strength in local knowledge, creativity, and operational delivery excellence. The Production Director will partner closely with Strategy, Business Development, Account Leadership and Production teams to create ideas that are rooted in client objectives, connected to culture and made possible through On Location's unparalleled access to the world's leading sports and entertainment rightsholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILTIES

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop customized and cost-efficient hospitality service solutions for TOP, Founding & Official Olympic & Paralympic partners, broadcasters and media, National Olympic & Paralympic Committees, International Federations and Custom B2B groups
- Develop and maintain client relationships from initial contact through to execution
- Collaborate with Business Development to support the development and delivery of RFIs, RFPs, and/or other responses to client briefings with support from other functional areas and team members
- Manage overall event production budgets and timelines to meet project milestones
- Develop a working database of venues and vendors available to support hospitality builds
- Maintain and manage venue and vendor relationships
- Identify, recruit, train and develop a team of individuals who can lead Off Venue Hospitality event production efforts
- Onsite attendance at events and client meetings/site visits as required
- Ensure a continued understanding and appreciation of the wider business objectives of On Location and the client
- Execute all other duties assigned by the team or leadership
General Responsibilities:
- Oversee scope milestones and deadlines
- Forecast, qualify and maintain budgets
- Oversee assigned portions of P&L and track expenditures
- Manage project team and move work forward daily within team environment
- Troubleshoot, anticipate and act proactively on event aspects of role leading up and following turn over to production implementation team
- Foster a collaborative environment built around curiosity, insight and original thinking
- Design and implement training and learning programmes for onsite delivery teams
- Research, gather, organize, author, edit, assist with design, and/or produce written materials; revise drafts including executive summaries, case studies, and conclusions
Other Duties & Responsibilities:

- Extensive collaboration and communication within the team and across workstreams
- Situation analysis and decision making; identify, understand, and remove roadblocks
- Team Management: one-on-one, performance management, team development, staff training, reinforcement of, and accountability for processes, etc.
- Develop, document, and implement specific procedures, systems, and operational efficiencies
- Conduct and/or participate in Team and Leadership Team meetings, as needed
- Participate in post-event review meetings regularly
- Conduct process review / improvement meetings regularly
- Provide input on performance reviews, bonuses, and merit increases
- Monthly expense and/or event budget reconciliations, as needed
- Drive focus on Continuous Quality Improvement
- Foster an environment for participation and engagement from workstreams
- Maintain a customer-first approach by looking at the entire event ecosystem through the lens of the customer journey
- Lead by example, model our core values, and set the pace for the rest of the team while inspiring creativity and innovation

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 10+ years of experience in managing and producing events, brand activations and event teams
- Prior experience with large-scale events in Los Angeles, including network of local vendors
- Speaks and writes fluent English; other languages encouraged
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite | Adobe Acrobat
- Highly organized and process-oriented
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Self-motivated, resourceful and directed, requiring minimal supervision
- Good timekeeping and work ethic that is characterized by commitment, motivation, and energy
- Presently resides and/or is willing to relocate to Los Angeles, California
Preferred Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven record of building and maintaining client relationships and managing complex corporate accounts
- Experience with B2B, corporate groups, and/or high-touch guest services, experience execution and/or event operations
- A hands-on approach with the ability to execute customized and curated solutions for B2B and/or corporate clients
- Understanding of the entertainment landscape including the business of sports, fashion, culinary, and other cultural verticals
- Exceptional interpersonal skills – a collaborative style and ability to communicate effectively at all levels with strong oral, written, and presentation skills
- A creative, innovative, and strategic thinker with excellent time-management, organizational and supervisory skills as well as the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
- Balance of creativity / innovation to dream big with the realistic logistical expertise to get things done
- Ability to use resources effectively and efficiently, can perform multiple tasks at once, and arrange information in a useful manneer

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the hourly rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.


Hiring Rate Minimum:
$97,500 annually (minimum will not fall below the applicable State/local minimum salary thresholds)

Hiring Rate Maximum:
$130,000 annually
