Performs one or more multiple financial activities within various finance job functions (FP&A, Overhead, Program Finance, Accounting, Controller, etc.). Will include some or all of the responsibilities as defined. Performs financial analysis, establishes performance management budgeting, and forecasting activities to include variance analysis, trend identification, workforce planning drivers, risk and opportunities assessment and development of mitigation plans. Integrates information from multiple financial systems, processes and functions in order to consolidate the data forensics into actionable business solution recommendations. Timely and accurately consolidates financial results (Orders, Sales, EBIT, Cash, ROIC, Overhead, Discretionary Funding) and monthly, quarterly and year end reporting to internal and external customers to include government contractual cost and schedule earned value management reporting. Develops and utilizes forward-looking data analytics, visualization and trend analysis to inform financial strategy and decision making. Develops and provides actionable recommendations to key stakeholders to make sound financial and operating decisions. Maintains applicable internal and external (FAR, CAS, SEC, US GAAP) policy, procedure, and controls for compliance to support internal process and external regulatory requirements. Provides subject matter expertise support to proposal development, basis of estimate and negotiations, as required.
This role performs contract or business integration, responsible for internal and external EVM reporting to various stakeholders. Expectations include the ability to perform against a tight monthly business rhythm, strong data analysis ability in order to identify trends, issues, and outliers, as well as an aptitude for monthly presentations to executive management - being able to inform with the so what behind the numbers. Key deliverables include multiple financial presentations, and contractually required CDRLs to our customer. The role also performs administrative functions for our EVM tool - Cobra, assisting CAMs and finance analysts with the tool.
Specific tasks include: weekly contract cost tracking; cost/schedule variance analysis and reporting; generation of financial reports; staffing planning analysis and reporting; EAC/CEAC analysis; identifying risks and opportunities and making recommendations to contain program cost exposures; coordination of monthly status and updates in EVM tools; working directly with Program Management and Control Account Managers (CAMs) to develop and maintain contract budget baselines; Budget Change Request (BCR) and Estimate at Complete Change Requests (ECR) analysis and incorporation into financial tools; partnering with Planning staff to properly integrate cost and schedule; and other financial research projects as required.
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor’s or Master's degree or equivalent experience/combined education or relevant experience in lieu of degree
-Advanced Microsoft Office skills
-Proven effective analytical and/ or presentation skills
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired Skills
-Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
-Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
-Experience working in a team environment
-Experience with LM Space software (Cobra, SAP)-Ability to execute in high pressure environment
-Experience baselining and managing large production and/or development contracts
-Proficiency with pivot tables
-Previous experience with detailed analysis of data
-Secret clearance
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6+ years of professional experience; or 4+ years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $81500.00 - $151300.00
