About the Role
- A Production Engineer is responsible for coordinating and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient operations, high-quality output, and cost-effectiveness. The role focuses on achieving SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) targets of the production lines by continuously improving productivity, reducing waste, and ensuring that operations run smoothly while meeting safety and quality standards.
What You Will Do
- Ensure all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective preventive measures
- Analyze production performance and implement actions to improve productivity and reduce downtime
- Optimize production workflows to achieve SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) targets
- Prepare reports on performance, deviations, and improvement actions
- Support internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, IATF 16949, Customer audit)
- Implement corrective actions based on audit findings and follow up on effectiveness
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions and create documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices
- Work closely with the quality team to reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction
- Monitor product quality and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), including the preparation and follow-up of 8D reports.
- Analyze stock variance and support action needed for End-to-End Business processes in SAP
- Analyze scrap data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Monitor and control scrap rates and scrap costs to minimize production losses
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for cost saving across production processes
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and driving innovation within the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Production Engineer, Process Engineer or Process Improvement, with a proven track record of implementing improvement projects.
- Proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving methodologies, such as Fishbone diagrams, Why-Why Analysis, and 8D.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required to summarize large-scale data by using EXCEL’s tools enabling efficient and accurate summarization in short timeframe
- ### Proven track record in implementing 5S, Kaizen, Suggestion Systems, or Six Sigma projects
- Good command of spoken and written English
Bonus Points if You Have
- SAP System experience is preferable
- Good at cross-functional communication skills and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with production teams.
- Experience in the automotive / electronics / speaker industry is preferable.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform, with the ability to create solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
