The purpose of this role is to provide expertise in maintaining the ledgers of allotted agents, chasing for debt, ensuring that cash received / paid is allocated on a timely and accurate basis. The role involves credit control tasks, handling multi-product and perform decision-making, and critical thinking. Additionally, the role focuses on prompt collection of premiums, minimizing outstanding amounts, maximizing cash flow, and manage relationships with clients and brokers. The role also includes processing payments, assisting team members, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring team objectives are successfully achieved.

Responsibilities:

- Regularly review and reconcile credit control reports and agent/client statements.
- Ensure all payments are made on a timely basis and are accurate to maintain the reputation of QBE.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee the regular reviews of the ledgers, unallocated cash, unclosed premiums and aged debt and agent statements to ensure the reviews are carried out as per the agreed procedures.
- Assist the team in optimizing procedures to ensure effective and efficient transaction processing.
- Analyze all credit control-related data, identifying problem areas and acting on those problems accordingly.
- Respond to telephone/email inquiries from customers to provide and excellent customer service.

Work Experience:

- Experience as credit control professional or financial services industry, proven success in a changing environment, and experience in a similar role, preferably in a shared service environment.

Necessary Qualifications include:

- Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Data Handling, Problem Solving, Excellent Communication & Customer service skills
- Ability to work independently under pressure, Ability to work under strict deadlines
- A high level of numeracy and literacy skills, Excellent attention to details
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, most importantly Excel & co-pilot
