Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform MCU and board bring-up, including power sequencing, clocks, reset, boot configuration, and peripheral initialization.
- Develop and debug embedded C/C++ firmware on bare-metal or RTOS platforms.
- Implement and validate interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, USB, GPIO, PWM, and ADC.
- Bring up sensors and peripherals, including IMUs, proximity sensors, touch controllers, and haptic devices.
- Develop communication between the MCU and application processor, including messaging protocols, interrupts, buffering, error handling, and recovery.
- Collaborate with Android BSP, kernel, and HAL teams to integrate MCU functionality into the Android XR system.
- Implement and validate low-power modes, suspend/resume, wake-up events, watchdogs, and fault recovery.
- Support sensor timestamping, synchronization, and latency analysis for XR use cases.
- Debug hardware and firmware issues using JTAG/SWD debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Develop automated tests for functional validation, reliability, performance, and power consumption.
- Document bring-up procedures, test results, root-cause findings, and integration requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong embedded C/C++ programming and debugging skills.
- Hands-on experience with MCU firmware development and custom board bring-up.
- Experience with ARM Cortex-M or comparable MCU architectures.
- Working knowledge of an RTOS such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr, including tasks, interrupts, synchronization, and memory management.
- Experience developing and debugging peripheral drivers and serial communication interfaces.
- Ability to interpret schematics, component datasheets, and hardware interface specifications.
- Familiarity with embedded Linux or Android integration and the interaction between firmware, kernel drivers, and HALs.
- Experience with Python or shell scripting for test automation.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with XR/AR/VR devices, wearables, sensor hubs, or other low-power embedded products.
- Experience integrating MCU subsystems with Android-based application processors.
- Familiarity with ADB, Android logs, Linux kernel logs, and system tracing.
- Experience with IMU data acquisition, sensor calibration, FIFO handling, and time synchronization.
- Knowledge of bootloaders, secure boot, firmware updates, and recovery mechanisms.
- Exposure to display or camera synchronization and related control signals.
- Experience supporting prototype hardware through production readiness.
