Position Summary
The Shop Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment in a shop environment. This position works under the guidance of service leadership while developing technical skills and product knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment and related systems.
Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using technical manuals and diagnostic tools.
Complete assigned work orders accurately and efficiently.
Document repairs, parts usage, and labor activities in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Properly operate and care for shop tools and equipment.
Participate in manufacturer and company training programs to develop technical skills.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and support personnel.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Support dealership goals for productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Qualifications

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in heavy equipment, diesel, agricultural, automotive, or related equipment repair preferred.

- Basic understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic service information systems preferred.

- Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.

- High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree or vocational training preferred.

- Must possess an adequate technician toolset.
