As a Vice President in JPMorganChase, you are responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of Net Asset Value (NAV) reporting for clients who have outsourced Fund Accounting services to JPMorganChase. This role leads end-to-end fund accounting execution, drives strong risk and control discipline, manages senior stakeholder relationships, and advances operational excellence through continuous improvement and transformation.
Job responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end fund accounting delivery, including pre-NAV validation, exception management, and resolution of client inquiries.
- Ensure timely and accurate NAV delivery aligned to client expectations and internal service standards.
- Monitor operational risk, identify control gaps, and escalate actual or potential issues and delivery delays in a timely manner.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by providing training, guidance, and ongoing support on fund accounting processes and controls.
- Act as the secondary escalation point for complex operational issues, driving timely resolution while maintaining service quality standards.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and clients to ensure adherence to SLAs, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices.
- Drive process improvement, risk mitigation, and automation/efficiency initiatives to enhance controls, scalability, and consistency.
- Build and develop high-performing teams through effective hiring, coaching, engagement, performance management, and retention strategies.
- Influence senior stakeholders across business, operations, technology, and transformation teams to deliver strategic priorities and strengthen client partnerships.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of people management experience (direct and/or matrix leadership).
- Strong working knowledge of fund accounting operations, NAV processes, exceptions management, and operational controls.
- Proven ability to manage operational risk and deliver against service commitments in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Extensive experience managing high-value institutional clients and strategic relationships across multiple jurisdictions and global markets.
- 15 years of relevant industry experience within Banking / Investment Banking Operations (Fund Servicing / Fund Accounting preferred).
- Demonstrated experience leading transformation programs (banking, financial services, or capital markets environments preferred).
- Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity, identify key challenges, and drive solutions to successful outcomes.
- Strong understanding of broad business objectives, strategic implications, and alignment of initiatives to organizational goals.
- Awareness of industry trends, customer expectations, and emerging technological/operational innovations.
- Strong analytical skills, including ability to evaluate and quantify operational, business, and financial impacts of target operating model (TOM) changes.
