Position details

The Workforce Management AVP within the Internal Audit function is responsible for supporting the development and execution of workforce management strategies that strengthen Internal Audit capabilities and support the function’s strategic priorities. Working across regions and functions, the AVP role will contribute to workforce planning, reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement in a highly regulated financial services environment.

The role will partner with audit colleagues, HR, Finance, operations, subject-matter experts, and external providers to support effective planning, consistent execution, stakeholder experience, and workforce outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities

·     Support the development and execution of workforce management strategy aligned with Internal Audit and organizational priorities.

·     Analyze historical learning, workforce, and skills data to identify trends and support planning and decision-making.

·     Partner with HR, Finance, operations, audit, and regional stakeholders to align workforce management initiatives/strategies with organizational goals.

·      Develop and maintain accurate workforce forecasts and plans to ensure adequate staffing levels and skillsets. Participate in and support capacity planning to meet fluctuating demands and maintain service levels.

·      Manage external vendors and internal partners to source, budget, customize, and deliver workforce solutions.

·      Develop standardized reporting on workforce plans, skills coverage, participation, program effectiveness, and agreed key performance indicators.

·      Use feedback and data to assess program impact, reporting accuracy, and opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

·     Coordinate with colleagues across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA, with flexibility for cross-time-zone collaboration.

Education, Licensure, Years of Experience (and type of work experience):

·     A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.

·     5 or more years of relevant experience inhuman capital strategic planning, business analysis, project or program management, or an equivalent field. Experience in a large financial institution or highly regulated environment is preferred.

·     Demonstrated experience developing and delivering workforce management solutions that enhance employee capabilities and advance organizational goals.

·     Strong project and program management, organization, planning, and execution skills.

·     Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

·     Ability to work with large data sets and translate information into practical insights and recommendations.

·      Demonstrates working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics tools, including the ability to identify opportunities to use AI to support audit, workforce planning, reporting, and documentation activities, with an understanding of associated risks and governance requirements.

·     Effective written and verbal communication in English, with strong presentation, negotiation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

·     Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to communication style across levels regions, and cultures.

·     Ability to collaborate inclusively, influence stakeholders, and establish support without relying on formal authority.
