About the Role
As the Officer, Payment Processing, you are responsible for supporting the payment processing area in delivering both domestic and international payments submitted by customers through various channels, ensuring timely and accurate processing. You will collaborate with other business units and stakeholders to maintain a high standard of service for our customers, while adhering to ANZ processes and policies. This approach ensures operational excellence and minimises potential risks to ANZ on a daily basis.

What will your day look like?
As an Officer, Payment Processing, you are accountable for:
- Processing domestic and international payments.
- Ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
- Reconciling and processing all inward and outward payments within the appropriate time frames.
- Providing required Regulatory reports accurately and on schedule.
- Delivering internal and external customer service consistent with ANZ strategies and offering advice or guidance to customers as needed.
- Reviewing and developing processes by eliminating unnecessary steps and maintaining a detailed understanding of business and financial requirements.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Knowledge of domestic and international payment processing (inward and outward).
- Experience in reconciliation, settlement, and payment processing with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Proven ability to conduct internal and external case investigations.
- Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Practical understanding of operational risk and compliance policies and procedures.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to meet cut-off times and service level requirements.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and applications.
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
