About this role

About Us

At ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.

About the Role

As a Senior Design Researcher, you will help teams make confident, evidence-led decisions by building a deep understanding of customer needs, behaviours and experiences. You will autonomously lead end-to-end qualitative and quantitative research across complex digital products, services and customer journeys. This includes bringing together existing research, customer insights and analytics; identifying evidence gaps; defining research priorities; and delivering new research as products and services evolve. Within the Business & Private Banking business unit, you will establish and continuously maintain the evidence baseline across existing SCFE (Single Customer Front End) App, Web and ETB (Existing To Bank) research, analytics and new learning. You will identify where web behaviours and decision risks differ from mobile, and ensure research addresses the needs of personal, business and commercial customers. Working as an embedded research partner within a multidisciplinary team, you will connect insights across channels, customer segments and programmes to inform experience strategy, roadmaps, information architecture, propositions and interaction design. You will balance strategic research with rapid, tactical validation, ensuring teams can learn continuously without duplicating existing research or relying on assumptions. You will translate evidence into clear opportunities, decisions and recommendations that improve customer outcomes and reduce delivery risk. As a senior craft practitioner, you will also coach others, strengthen research capability and contribute to the ongoing development of the Design Research practice.

Banking is changing and we’re changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.
