Roles & responsibilities
Group Digital plays an important role in enabling the firm to grow, manage risk and operate effectively. As its Finance Business Partner, you will combine rigorous financial management with forward-looking commercial support, helping leaders understand performance, assess choices and deliver strategic priorities.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of various areas within Digital Finance supporting the budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, cost control, financial risk and investment appraisal and help modernise reporting and finance processes through standardisation, automation, offshore support and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
• Act as a trusted finance business partner to Digital leaders and budget holders, bringing insight, constructive challenge and a clear understanding of business priorities. • Assist annual budgets, long-term plans and periodic forecasts, testing assumptions and assessing affordability, risks and opportunities. • Own month-end close and management reporting, ensuring accurate accounting and clear analysis of performance against plan for various areas within the Digital domain. • Translate financial data into concise commentary, recommendations and actions for leadership teams. • Lead regular performance reviews with senior stakeholders and support timely, evidence-based decisions. • Maintain strong financial governance and compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, firm policies and controls. • Assess significant accounting and financial judgements, particularly at year end, escalating to the HOF where appropriate. • Liaise with Financial Control, Commercial Finance, Financial Reporting, external auditors and stakeholders to meet reporting and audit requirements. • Evaluate projects and investment proposals through financial modelling, return-on-investment analysis and benefits tracking. • Improve management information, dashboards and finance processes through standardisation, automation, self-service and effective use of technology. • Collaborate cross-functional finance projects and respond to ad hoc reporting and external data requirements.
You will work closely with senior leaders across Group Digital and Group Corporate Services, including the Finance Director, Head of Finance, operational and performance leads and budget holders. You will also collaborate with colleagues in Group Financial Control, Commercial Finance and Financial Reporting.

This role is for you if you have the below
Work experience
• A recognised professional accountancy qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent • Strong finance business-partnering and financial-management experience in a large or complex organisation. • Experience leading budgets, forecasts, month-end reporting, cost control and performance reviews. • The confidence to build trusted relationships, challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders. • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical insight. • Sound technical accounting judgement and a clear understanding of financial risk and controls. • Experience improving finance processes and enabling consistent, technology-led ways of working. • Strong organisation and project-management skills, with the ability to balance priorities across several workstreams.
