As a Lead Engineer, Testing and Qualification - Test Data Analyst engineer , you will contribute to the design, develop, commission and test execution of advanced data acquisition systems for turbomachinery applications and climate technologies solutions.
You will play a key role in data acquisition during test execution and data validation and later in data post processing. You will work also on bug fixing and collect, record, monitor and process experimental data.
The data acquisition software in use is a BH proprietary system LabVIEW based and you will have the opportunity to contribute to its software development.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Given New Product Development (NPD) programs requirements, designing the Data Acquisition System (DAS) architecture to acquiring the (static and dynamic) data. Participating in technical and program reviews.
- Attending the test commissioning set up and test execution and lead data acquisition team during the test; check data consistency of all acquired signals; take care of tracking a story board all signals events
- After test work on data post processing, generating test report and lead the test result review with customer.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including software engineers, suppliers, and customers to deliver integrated solutions.
- Promoting innovation by optimizing standard solutions, enhancing acquisition software development and introducing innovation technologies.
- Contributing to the design, development, integration, and validation of PLC-based control systems for turbomachinery test facilities and climate technology applications.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of control software for industrial automation platforms, including GE Vernova RX3i and Mark VIe control systems.
- Participate in the definition of test bench control architectures, communication networks, and interfaces between instrumentation, data acquisition systems, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and machine protection systems.
- Developing and troubleshooting control logic, sequences, interlocks, alarm management functions, and closed-loop control algorithms required for safe and efficient test execution.
- Collaborating with test engineers and software developers to ensure seamless integration between data acquisition, monitoring, automation, and control systems.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
- Have strong problem solving skills.
- Show excellent leadership and team-building skills with a passion for developing software.
- Experience in experimental data analysis, signal analysis/processing
- Experience in defining architecture and design software solutions
- Knowledge in software architecture and coding;
- Basics experience on relational database;
- Ability to understand, manage and navigate large data sets;
- Be fluent both in English and Italian
- Have strong interpersonal skills

For Italy: The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 43,600 To 70,000.
"The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay".
