Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced consulting leader to help build and grow our Medical Affairs practice. The role will work closely with pharmaceutical and biotech clients across Medical Affairs, field medical, analytics, data and technology-led transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong Medical Affairs experience along with the ability to translate complex business and medical questions into practical solutions. As a Director at ProcDNA, the individual will also be expected to contribute to business development, capability building, client relationships, team leadership and broader consulting engagements.

What You Will Do

Lead Medical Affairs engagements

- Partner with Medical Affairs teams on evidence generation, real-world evidence, medical insights and field medical effectiveness.
- Design solutions that bring together internal and external data to generate actionable medical and scientific insights.
- Lead engagements from problem definition and solution design through execution and senior stakeholder communication.

Design solutions for Field Medical and KOL engagement

- Develop solutions that help MSL and field medical teams prepare for, conduct and follow up on HCP/KOL engagements.
- Support MSL strategy and operations, including engagement planning, insight capture and effectiveness measurement.
- Design KOL identification, segmentation and engagement strategies based on scientific influence, clinical relevance and network relationships.
- Help clients improve how medical insights are captured, synthesized and translated into action.
- Contribute to digital and AI-enabled field medical solutions, including pre-call planning and post-call insight capture.

Leverage medical and HCP data

- Work with external data sources including publications, clinical trials, congresses, social media, claims, EMR and other HCP-level datasets.
- Combine multiple data sources to build a more complete view of HCPs, KOLs, scientific influence and treatment behavior.
- Guide analytical approaches for KOL identification, network analysis, insights generation and Medical Affairs measurement.

Support evidence and Medical Affairs strategy

- Help clients identify evidence gaps and prioritize real-world evidence and analytical opportunities.
- Develop frameworks for collecting, synthesizing and prioritizing medical insights.
- Support measurement of Medical Affairs impact across scientific engagement, KOL progression and clinical or treatment behavior.

Drive business development and capability building

- Identify new opportunities within existing and prospective clients and translate them into compelling solutions.
- Lead or contribute to proposals, RFPs, pitches, workshops and capability demonstrations.
- Build relationships with senior Medical Affairs, Medical Excellence, Field Medical and Insights & Analytics stakeholders.
- Help build ProcDNA’s Medical Affairs offerings, frameworks, accelerators and thought leadership.
- Collaborate with analytics, data science, engineering and product teams to develop scalable solutions.

Operate as a ProcDNA Director

- Own senior client relationships and be accountable for quality, delivery and account growth.
- Lead and coach project teams while remaining close to the work and key decisions.
- Contribute to hiring, staffing and development of consulting talent.
- Work collaboratively across practices and support engagements beyond Medical Affairs where relevant.
- Bring an entrepreneurial mindset and proactively identify opportunities to build new capabilities and client solutions.

What We Are Looking For

- 10+ years of consulting experience, preferably within life sciences or healthcare.
- Strong experience working with pharmaceutical or biotech Medical Affairs organizations.
- Experience across areas such as: Evidence generation and real-world evidence
- Medical insights generation
- MSL / field medical strategy and operations
- KOL identification and engagement
- Medical communications
- Medical Affairs effectiveness measurement

- Strong understanding of external HCP and medical data sources, including publications, clinical trials, congresses and social media.
- Experience designing analytics, data or technology-enabled Medical Affairs solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, proposal development and senior client engagement.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading and developing consulting teams.
- Comfortable working across strategy, analytics, data and technology, with the flexibility to contribute to broader ProcDNA priorities.
