The Global Freight Analyst will support Demant’s global freight strategy by turning transportation data into actionable insights, scalable analytical tools, and decision support.
The role will support Global Freight, Operations, and Finance across freight performance, spend, sourcing, business cases, savings, and sustainability. A key focus will be developing standardized tools, measures, and analytical frameworks to improve transparency and understanding of freight cost and performance drivers. The role will combine detailed analysis with a commercial perspective, translating complex data into insights for operational improvement and management decisions, while advancing the use of AI and automation in freight analytics.

What tasks are waiting for you?

- Analyze global and market-level freight spend, trends and variances, identifying the underlying commercial and operational cost drivers;

- Develop tools and analytical models to improve understanding of how rates, volumes, shipment profiles, service levels, fuel, surcharges and other factors impact freight spend;

- Analyze actual versus expected freight cost using available TMS and invoice audit data, identifying recurring deviations, trends and underlying cost drivers, and support corrective actions where relevant;

- Support local markets, particularly where freight analytical and category capabilities are limited, by providing common tools, methodologies and analytical support that strengthens freight cost and performance management;.

- Support freight budgeting and forecasting by providing transportation-specific insights and strengthening the link between Global Freight, Operations and Finance.

It would be great if you have:

- solid professional experience within freight, transportation or logistics, with apractical understanding of how transportation networks, carrier services, pricing structures and operational decisions impact cost and performance;

- Good understanding of international transportation, preferably with exposure to courier/small package, air and/or ocean freight;

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with large and complex datasets and identify relevant trends, deviations and underlying drivers;

- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools;

- Good understanding of data modelling, visualization and KPI development;

- Ability to develop robust business cases, baselines and scenario analyses and translate findings into decision support.
