About this role
To provide a professional, safe and dependable transport service for players, senior management and Club staff, ensuring all journeys are carried out efficiently, discreetly and in line with Club standards. The role is also responsible for maintaining Club vehicles to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and roadworthiness, supporting the day-to-day operational requirements of the Club.
Key Responsibilities
- Be available to drive for the Club as required, primarily responsible to football departments and the needs of players and senior management.
- Be prepared to work weekends, evenings and other unsociable hours depending on business needs.
- At all times, drive safely and follow the highway code, abiding to all speed limits, road signs, etc.
- Escorting or aiding players, senior management and other passengers as needed when picking them up or dropping them off at their destination to ensure their safe arrival, comfort and security.
- Ensure you arrive punctually for all assigned journeys, planning routes carefully and ensuring enough travel time has been allowed.
- Ensure you report any toll charges, congestion charges, drop off charges, etc, to line management punctually so these can be paid on time.
- Deliver a consistently comfortable, courteous, and professional driving service, always ensuring discretion and confidentiality. Maintain a high standard of personal presentation, appropriate to the journey you are fulfilling.
- Ensure the Club vehicle/s are kept clean, fully valeted, and always presented to a high standard. Keep the vehicle stocked with travel essentials including bottled water, hand sanitiser, first aid kit, etc.
- Ensure the Club vehicle/s is kept in a safe and roadworthy condition. This means performing regular vehicle checks and working with the Head of Performance Centre Operations to ensure services, MOTs, vehicle tax, etc, are carried out.
- Report any vehicle damage, faults, or maintenance needs promptly to the Head of Performance Centre Operations for action.
- In the event you are unable to fulfil an assigned journey, notify the appropriate stakeholder as soon as possible and support with finding an alternative service provider.
- Maintain accurate records relating to vehicle usage such as mileage, fuel consumption, service history and other maintenance schedules.
- Ensure the vehicle is well always fuelled so at any point; it is available to drive.
- Follow all club policies regarding driving company vehicles, insurance and expenses.
- As a member of staff to ensure in all matters, you follow and actively promote the club’s mental health policies and practices to ensure an open, non-judgmental and inclusive environment for everyone engaged with the club.
- As a member of staff to ensure that you to adhere to the club’s safeguarding policies and procedures and are committed to our safeguarding values, creating a safe and positive environment for all those who interact with the club.
- Obligation to adhere to the club’s health and safety policy and procedures.
- Responsibility to comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and all related Company policies, taking reasonable care for their own safety and that of others, reporting hazards or incidents, following safe systems of work, and co-operating with all training and emergency procedures.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential
- Full clean UK driving license
- Experience as a professional chauffeur, taxi driver or other driving career
- Good knowledge of Bournemouth/Dorset area
Desirable
- SIA license
- Additional driver qualifications / advanced UK driving license
- Experience working/interacting with VIPs
It is anticipated that interviews will be held during the week commencing 9th November 2026.
