About this role
xecute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for API manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility-related equipment problems.
Ensure maximum availability and reliability of critical production equipment.
Maintain equipment such as reactors, centrifuges, dryers, agitated nutsche filters, vacuum systems, pumps, compressors, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, HVAC systems, and other plant utilities.
Prepare and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution.
Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Coordinate with Production, QA, EHS, Validation, and other departments for maintenance activities.
Maintain maintenance records, equipment history cards, work orders, and relevant GMP documentation.
Participate in breakdown analysis, root-cause analysis (RCA), and reliability improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, safety requirements, and company engineering procedures.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and service activities.
Monitor spare-parts inventory and coordinate procurement of critical maintenance spares.
Support installation, commissioning, qualification, and modification of new equipment and systems.
Assist in preparing and reviewing SOPs, preventive-maintenance procedures, checklists, and engineering documents.
Ensure proper implementation of permit-to-work, LOTO, and other safety systems.
Support internal and regulatory audits related to engineering and maintenance.
Identify opportunities for energy conservation, cost reduction, and equipment efficiency improvement.
Supervise technicians and contractors and ensure maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.

Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience in API / pharmaceutical / chemical manufacturing preferred.
Good knowledge of cGMP, safety practices, preventive maintenance, and engineering documentation.
