Your role Key responsibilities in your new role
- Drive the concept development, innovation, and roadmap definition of CAN, CAN XL, SENT, HSSL, SD/MMC, and I2C communication IPs for future microcontroller products, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market requirements, and long-term technology strategies
- Define scalable and future-proof communication architectures by translating customer, application, and product requirements into robust and implementable hardware and software concepts that support a wide range of automotive and industrial use cases
- Analyze industry standards, emerging market trends, competitor solutions, and third-party IP offerings to identify technology gaps , assess innovation opportunities , and influence future product and communication technology directions
- Develop advanced communication concepts that optimize and balance key system parameters, including performance, bandwidth, latency, power consumption, quality, reliability, scalability, and cost targets
- Ensure compliance with Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) requirements by conducting technical risk assessments , defining mitigation strategies, and integrating afety and security considerations into communication architectures from the early concept phase
- Collaborate closely with system architects, design engineers, verification teams, software developers, safety experts, application engineers, and product managers across global locations to drive concept alignment, technical excellence, and successful product development
- Create, maintain, and continuously improve architecture specifications, user manuals, datasheets, and technical documentation while leveraging AI-assisted engineering methods, modern design tools, and digital workflows to enhance innovation, productivity, documentation quality, and knowledge sharing within the global Concepts and Design Engineering Community
Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field , combined with a solid foundation in digital systems, embedded technologies, and semiconductor product development
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in semiconductor architecture, IP development, SoC design, or microcontroller development , with a proven ability to contribute to complex product development projects
- Strong knowledge of microcontroller and SoC architectures , including system-level design principles, integration aspects, and the interaction between hardware and software components
- Expert-level knowledge of at least two communication protocols , such as CAN, CAN XL, SENT, HSSL, SD/MMC, I2C/I3C, or equivalent automotive communication interfaces , with the ability to evaluate, define, and develop communication solutions for advanced embedded systems
- Experience with digital design concepts, RTL fundamentals, and development tools , as well as knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) requirements applicable to automotive and safety-critical products
- Proven experience creating and maintaining architecture specifications, user manuals, datasheets, and technical documentation , ensuring high-quality deliverables that support product development, customer adoption, and long-term product maintenance
- Demonstrated experience applying Generative AI (GenAI) tools , modern engineering methodologies, and digital workflows to improve productivity and innovation, combined with strong communication, stakeholder management, and written and verbal English skills to effectively collaborate in a global environment
