We have an opportunity available for a Safety Culture and Compliance Manager to join our Business Development team.

Salary: £48,163.00 per annum

Hours: 39 per week

Location: Hybrid working - home working alongside travel to Head Office, based in Warrington and Making Space services

Responsibilities

As Safety Culture and Compliance Manager you will lead and coordinate a consistent, proportionate and person-centred approach to safety, health and safety, fire safety and compliance across Making Space's services.

Key responsibilities include:

- Acting as Making Space's lead co-ordinator for creating and sustaining safe, trusted and person-centred environments across all services, offices and operational settings

- Provide competent, practical advice and guidance to managers and colleagues on safety, health and safety, fire safety, risk assessments, safe systems of work, incident management and compliance requirements

- Develop, maintain and review relevant policies, procedures, guidance, toolkits and templates to ensure they remain current and accessible

- Manage relationships with trusted external partners, including consultants, fire safety specialists and contractors

- Support Making Space's services to complete, review and improve local risk assessments, personal emergency evacuation plans, fire evacuation procedures, business continuity arrangements and related records

Qualifications

You must hold the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, or an equivalent qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent competence. You will also have relevant fire safety training or relevant qualification or willingness to undertake further accredited fire safety training.

IOSH membership or TechIOSH status is desirable, with a commitment to work towards relevant professional membership where required.
