Tech Lead, Data Engineering(SDE)
SDE — Full Stack (BI / Data Apps)
About your role:
As an SDE -Full Stack, you will build modern user interfaces and backend services that support business intelligence, analytics, and data-driven applications. You will work with engineering, product, and data teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that make data accessible and actionable. Your work will help strengthen reporting experiences, improve application usability, and enable trusted integration across enterprise data platforms.
What you'll do:
- Design and develop full stack applications that support business intelligence, analytics, and data application use cases across enterprise environments.
- Build modern front-end experiences using React and TypeScript, creating responsive, maintainable, and user-focused interfaces.
- Develop backend services and APIs using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or similar technologies to support scalable data application workflows.
- Design and implement RESTful application programming interfaces (APIs) that enable secure, reliable, and efficient communication between user interfaces, backend services, and data platforms.
- Integrate applications with structured query language (SQL)-based data sources and cloud or distributed analytical platforms such as Snowflake, StarRocks, or similar systems.
- Configure and support business intelligence tooling and embedded analytics experiences using Apache Superset, ECharts, or similar data visualization frameworks.
- Implement authentication and authorization capabilities using standards such as OAuth2, Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), or similar identity protocols.
- Partner with data engineers, product teams, and architects to translate business needs into technical solutions that improve usability, performance, and data accessibility.
- Troubleshoot application issues, optimize performance, and support code quality through testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

Experience you'll need to have:
- 3+ years of experience in full stack software development building modern web applications and data-driven user experiences.
- Experience with React, TypeScript, and modern front-end development practices used to build responsive and maintainable user interfaces.
- Experience with Python backend development using FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks to build scalable APIs and services.
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs for application-to-application and front-end-to-backend communication.
- Experience with SQL and analytical data platforms such as Snowflake, StarRocks, or similar modern data warehouse or analytics technologies.
- Experience with authentication and authorization standards such as OAuth2, SAML, or similar enterprise identity integration approaches.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience with Apache Superset, ECharts, or similar business intelligence and data visualization platforms.
- Experience developing embedded analytics or business intelligence applications for enterprise users.
- Experience working with data engineers, architects, and analytics teams in cloud or modern data platform environments.
- Experience improving performance and usability of interactive data applications.
How you'll work:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
