On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Senior Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based Hybrid in any UK MoJ Office.
Assignment Background
A Senior Delivery Manager is required to join the Accommodation service area and ensure the successful delivery of key features in a challenging environment.
The service area is building and rolling out a single accommodation service, alongside delivering changes relating to sentencing reforms.
Accommodation consists of multiple digital teams and a service management capability. The successful candidate will join the management capability, oversee delivery across multiple digital teams and provide leadership to delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.
As a Senior Delivery Manager , your main responsibilities will be to:
- Build and maintain motivated teams, ensuring there is an iterative plan to work towards.
- Protect the team and ensure effective collaboration, communication and focus on priorities.
- Coach team members and stakeholders, facilitate continuous improvement and apply appropriate Agile and Lean delivery practices.
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies and blockers, escalating issues where required.
- Ensure an integrated roadmap is agreed and maintained across service management and delivery teams.
Essential:
- Experience leading delivery across multiple Agile digital teams.
- Experience building, leading and coaching high performing teams.
- Strong Agile and Lean delivery expertise .
- Proven ability to manage risks, dependencies, blockers and escalations.
- Experience developing and maintaining integrated delivery roadmaps.
- Experience working across multiple teams and stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
Desirable:
- Experience working within GDS or DDaT environments.
- Previous Central Government experience.
- Experience delivering digital transformation programmes.
- Experience operating at service, programme or portfolio level.
