About this role

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Cloud Support Engineer to provide day-to-day operational support, monitoring, and troubleshooting of GCP infrastructure supporting production services. The role ensures cloud services remain available, secure, properly configured, and recoverable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and support GCP production infrastructure, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, load balancers, and related services.
• Perform daily health checks across cloud infrastructure.
• Investigate infrastructure-related incidents and service degradation.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, VM, storage, IAM, firewall, networking, and resource-utilization issues.
• Review GCP Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring alerts and logs.
• Execute approved operational runbooks and recovery procedures.
• Support incident resolution and participate in root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with application, database, network, security, and cloud engineering teams during incidents.
• Support backup, recovery, capacity, and availability activities.
• Maintain infrastructure operational documentation and troubleshooting procedures.
• Escalate defects or infrastructure changes requiring engineering intervention.
• Support production changes and perform post-change validation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Google Associate Cloud Engineer certification preferred.
• ITIL Foundation is an advantage.
• Experience supporting business-critical production environments.
