Then come and join our global team as Senior Team Lead Research & Technology (f/m/d) and help shape innovations in digital X-ray technology, guiding new technologies from the initial idea through to clinical application.
Job location: Siemensstr. 3, 91301 Forchheim.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of an interdisciplinary team within X-ray Products R&D, consisting of employees from the areas of physics, image processing, data science, and artificial intelligence.
- Together with your team, you will play a key role in driving research and development in the field of autonomous systems for medical imaging.
- You will lead technology and innovation projects, guiding them from ideation through to implementation into product development.
- In addition, you and your team will support the entire development lifecycle, accompany market launches, and share responsibility for collaborating with customers and partners.
- You will work closely with other development departments, product management, and collaboration management teams.
- You will foster an open and inclusive culture of collaboration, innovation, scientific exchange with customers and partners, and technical excellence within the team.
- Leveraging your own expertise, you will contribute scientific publications and presentations that strengthen our company's visibility and position at international conferences.
- You will actively contribute to expanding our patent portfolio by identifying innovative ideas, further developing them, and driving them through the patent application process.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You hold a university degree in Medical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, followed by a PhD.
- You bring many years of relevant professional experience in the (pre-) development of medical devices and possess solid expertise in data science and artificial intelligence.
- You have several years of experience as a team leader or project manager with people management responsibility.
- You also have experience collaborating with international clinical and technical partners.
- You are highly familiar with scientific methodologies and have demonstrated this through an active expert career in an industrial environment.

- You have excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of successfully inspiring, motivating, and developing interdisciplinary teams.
- You possess strategic thinking skills and the ability to align long-term research and development objectives with business goals.
- Strong teamwork, empathy, excellent communication skills, and a results-oriented approach distinguish you as a leader.
- You have business-fluent German and English language skills, enabling you to communicate confidently with international sister teams as well as internal and external partners.
