We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Education Program Manager to lead and support medical education programs within the Division of Vascular & Endovascular Surgery. Working closely with the Associate Chief of Education, Program Directors, faculty, and divisional leadership, you’ll oversee a diverse portfolio of graduate and continuing medical education programs across Mass General Brigham and affiliated training sites.
In this highly collaborative role, you’ll manage the day-to-day operations, compliance, recruitment, scheduling, and continued development of our residency and fellowship programs while supporting educational initiatives for residents, fellows, advanced practice provider students, and other learners. What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day administration of residency, fellowship, and continuing medical education programs, ensuring compliance with ACGME, GME, and institutional requirements.
- Oversee residency and fellowship recruitment, interviews, Match activities, credentialing, onboarding, orientation, visas, and trainee transitions.
- Create and manage complex trainee rotation and call schedules, evaluations, clinical competency processes, educational records, and required reporting.
- Partner with Program Directors and faculty on curriculum enhancements, program development, accreditation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage educational systems and resources, including ACGME Accreditation Data System, New Innovations, program websites, training materials, and orientation resources.
- Plan and oversee educational conferences, teaching sessions, residency and fellowship events, and continuing medical education programming.
- Manage trainee contracts, affiliation agreements, program expenses, invoices, corporate card activity, and non-salary educational budgets in accordance with MGB policies.
- Serve as a primary administrative liaison for trainees, faculty, clinical and administrative teams, affiliate training sites, and internal and external partners.
- Support educational programming for General Surgery residents, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant students, and other learners rotating within the Division.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen program operations, communication, recruitment, and the overall trainee experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience administering education programs required.
- 2–3 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or adult learning theory preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling complex and highly sensitive matters.
- Ability to supervise and prioritize work for support staff.
- Experience with database management, spreadsheets, data manipulation, and reporting.
