Job Summary

The Sales and Service Relationship Manager performs a wide range of functions by serving as a consultant to customers by conducting customer financial profiles, identifying customer needs, cross-selling, and up-selling opportunities. The position seeks to attract, expand, and retain customer relationships using optimal relationship management and is responsible for contributing to the financial growth of the company. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

- Responsible for contributing to the financial growth of the bank through establishing, expanding, and retaining high-value consumer and business client relationships.
- Work with Commercial, Mortgage Warehouse and other lines of business as primary point of contact to establish client depository accounts.
- This will include: Communication & coordination with Relationship Managers and clients to collect necessary entity and signer information and executed account documents.
- Prepare appropriate account documents.
- Post closing management of document upload/archive and any compliance related requirements.
- Manage ancillary services (checks, debit cards, etc.) required by clients.
- Back-end confirmation that set-up (Account Officer number assigned, Special Coding added, etc.) is complete/accurate.
- When not otherwise addressed through online banking, work with clients (external and internal) to complete (manual) Wire Authorization Agreements, establish and distribute client PINs, and coordinate with clients to send manual wires.
- Coordinate with Relationship Manager, Branch personnel, Treasury and the client to manage the servicing of the depository and treasury relationship. ·

- Work with Commercial and Treasury to make certain accounts are migrated to online banking and that services are entitled in a consistent way. Back-end confirmation that treasury implementation is correct/completed without client interruption. ·

- Work with Commercial and Treasury to manage DACA accounts, required documentation, and ongoing funding requirements.
- Work with Commercial and Mortgage Warehouse to track accuracy of the depository production. Research deposit related issues that arise from commercial customers ·
- Proactively communicates with current and prospective clients to educate, ensure understanding, resolve issues, develop, and maintain customer loyalty and solicit customer feedback to improve bank performance.
- Identifies business development and cross-sell opportunities and makes referrals.
- Serves as a liaison with clients, internal and external contacts to facilitate communication and assist with loan closing and account opening processes.
- Thoroughly collects customer and prospect financials which may include loan applications, tax returns, income statements, bank statements and other relevant data.
- Maintains records and obtains documentation in compliance with internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
- May accompany lenders on the commercial and treasury team on meetings and appointments to assist with relationship management and support account opening or loan closing processes.
- Reviews customer and prospect financials and other relevant data to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies; follows through to verify accurate information and resolve issues.
- Opens new accounts and services existing accounts.
- Protects against criminal or fraudulent activity, risk, or exposure.
- Maintain awareness of Ameris Bank products and services and how they can be offered to clients and prospects.
- Maintains knowledge of banking products, programs, services and promotions.
- Practices ethical sales behaviors in accordance with Ameris’ core values of Integrity and Honesty; always acts in the best interest of the customer when offering additional products and services.

Industry and Work Experience

- 3 or more years of retail banking experience required.
- Experience in consumer credit preferred.
- Leadership experience preferred.

Academic

- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent education and experience required.
