Financial Analyst (Junior)

We at WeQuel are now looking for a Junior Financial Analyst in Uppsala, where you will become an important part of the client's Finance department with a focus on manufacturing variances, reporting and month-end closing. In this role, you will analyze spend and manufacturing variances, support the month-end closing process and help identify process improvements. You will report to the Finance Manager, and the role has no direct reports.

As a consultant with us, you will have the opportunity to work with one of our clients, a leading company within medical technology and manufacturing, where you will contribute to strengthening financial control, improving processes and creating sustainable solutions within supply chain finance.

Your responsibilities:

- Analysis of functional spend, manufacturing variances and reporting
- Spend analysis and headcount reporting
- Support with Financial closing activities
- Support in the month-end closing process, including support to SFA
- Support in the capitalization of assets
- Support in volume projections
- Identification of process improvements
- Ad hoc project support, operational improvement initiatives and other projects requiring supply chain finance support

You will work in a dynamic environment where you independently drive your tasks forward while collaborating with several interfaces within the organization.

Requirements:

- 1–2 years of relevant financial experience
- Hands-on experience with month-end closing activities
- Experience in financial analysis
- Experience in supply chain, manufacturing or cost accounting (preferred)
- Minimum a Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Industrial Economics, Finance or Engineering
- Fluent Swedish (native) and English, written and spoken
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficiency in Power BI
- Experience with an ERP system (SAP strongly preferred and highly beneficial)
- Strong analytical, communication and social skills
- Independent thinking and strong planning and prioritization skills
- Highly motivated self-starter who takes ownership and accountability for assigned tasks
- Adaptable to changing internal customer requirements and business demands
- Consistently meets goals with a high degree of accuracy, quality and attention to detail
- Ability to work during the summer period
