About this role
The Nurse Technician is a student RN working under the direct supervision of an RN assisting the nursing staff with patient care. Nurse Technicians performs various patient care activities necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. The Nurse Technician assists with patient cleaning, feeding, and preparation for treatment, takes and records vital signs, changes bed linen, prepares treatment trays and other supplies, and assists nursing service personnel with a variety of other patient care duties.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Successful completion of the first semester or term of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program, including Nursing 1 coursework
• Current enrollment and good standing in an accredited Registered Nurse School of Nursing program
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
