JOB DESCRIPTION

General Function:

This role is primarily responsible for creating and maintaining DAC Vision's production planning strategy, ensuring the effective utilization of labor, equipment, materials, equipment, and inventory resources to support customer demand and business objectives.
The Manufacturing Planning & Resource Manager is responsible for manufacturing planning, supply chain coordination, inventory optimization, labor efficiency, manufactured goods costing, and overall production execution.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

- Create, maintain, and update weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual production plans aligned with forecasted demand and business objectives, in order to ensure adequate labor, equipment capacity, and raw material availability.

- Collaborate with multiple departments to align production requirements with customer demand.

- Direct and oversee all manufacturing planning activities to support uninterrupted production operations.

- Establish manufactured goods raw material planning, to define purchasing requirements, and execute the procurement activities to ensure supply continuity.

- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods to prevent shortages while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.

- Direct work order management activities, including creation, release, material issuance, monitoring, and closure within SAP.

- Ensure production schedules are executed according to established priorities and customer commitments.

- Lead labor planning and workforce utilization initiatives to maximize productivity, cross-training, and operational flexibility.

- Analyze production performance metrics and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.

- Review capacity constraints and recommend corrective actions to maintain production flow and customer service levels.

- Serve as the primary owner of production planning data, reports, and performance measurement.

- Oversee manufactured goods costing activities to ensure product competitiveness and profitability, provide recommendation for improvement.

- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives across production planning, inventory management, and resource utilization.

- Maintain and update Supply Chain File on a monthly basis and ensure required information is submitted prior to the 5th business day of each month.

- Participate in budget planning and strategic operational reviews.

- Support annual physical inventory counts, cycle count programs, and inventory accuracy initiatives.

- Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Ops Management, Engineering, or related field.

- 5+ years of progressive manufacturing, production planning, operations, or supply chain leadership experience.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

- Strong SAP experience.

- Experience in production planning, inventory management, capacity planning, and procurement coordination.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.

- Strong financial acumen with experience in product costing and inventory management.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or similar.
