JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Director of Talent Acquisition is a key member of the North America Operations Human Resources Leadership Team with responsibility for the strategic leadership of the talent acquisition function for the Operations division of the Essilor Luxottica North American business. This role oversees the leadership of the TA Operations function across all operations businesses in US, Canada, and Mexico.

The position leads strategic sourcing, recruiting, and hiring strategies across the Oakley, logistics, mass production, and prescription manufacturing business groups. Responsibilities includes setting the strategic direction for all contract and permanent hiring (including executive positions) within the operations perimeter.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Counsels Operations HR and Business Leaders in the proactive development of recruitment strategies, tools, practices and recruitment policies.

- Defines the recruiting resourcing of the NA talent acquisition team and continuously monitors and adjusts recruiting tools, workloads and requisition balance based on a flexibility model aligned to business demands and volumes.

- Leads the operations recruitment strategy for contract labor determining managed services providers, vendor contracts, KPI’s and programs.

- Partners with corporate, wholesale & retail talent acquisition groups to establish & embed enterprise wide recruiting systems, processes and ways of working

- Source & own relationships with external executive search & general recruitment agencies – manage budget in partnership with finance

- Lead and develop a team of recruiting professionals building development programs and career pathways.

- Creates innovative programs, events, and campaigns that generate EssilorLuxottica brand awareness relevant for the operations network, building talent pipeline, and driving recruiting efforts.

- Owns and develops University campus programs for operations.

- Provides thought leadership and partnership to Business and HR leaders to drive the internal mobility process across the network.

- Develop and analyze talent metrics to measure success and influence talent strategies.

- In partnership with HR, integrates workforce planning goals and concepts across the enterprise, collaborating with HR and leaders to identify & recommend solutions to talent gaps.

- Continuous Improvement. Stays abreast of innovation in the field of talent acquisition and recommends best practices to embed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related area.

- 12+ years of Recruitment leadership experience within an operations environment (manufacturing, logistics, mass production)

- Ability to travel with estimated travel requirements of 40%

- Recruitment experience in both Agency and In-house environments

- 6+ years team leadership, demonstrated examples of team and individual career growth

- Background leading high volume recruitment projects

- Demonstrated strategic thinking, negotiation and project management skills

- Background owning recruitment change management across; TA processes, policies & team structures

- Strong knowledge of current market practices and trends in talent acquisition

- Exhibit thought leadership – uses data and analytics to drive decision making

- Multi-country experience in a leadership role. Prior experience leading Mexico operations is a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA OR Masters degree

- Experience across matrixed global consumer business within operations recruiting
