About this role
We are looking for a Senior Engineering Support Specialist (Drafter/Designer) who will collaborate with R&D product development engineers to create, modify, control and maintain the proper documentation of 3D and 2D models and files. Some design of components, assemblies and tooling may also be required.
You will be:
- Generating detailed solid models and drawings of components and assemblies.
- Managing, generating and/or implementing ECO changes to components and assembly documentation.
- Managing, establishing and enforcing drafting/documentation standards
- Managing PDM vault and enforcing procedural standards
- Converting CREO CAD files to Solidworks files
- Managing the documentation of labels
- Managing the documentation of PCBAs and cable drawings
- Creating and documenting tooling layouts
- Collaborating with other engineering disciplines to establish and document fabrication processes.
What you will bring to the team:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency with CREO and Solidworks. PDM experience is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience supporting mechanical design group
- Experience with ECO and new product development processes in a collaborative, cross functional team environment
- Working knowledge of drafting standards and ASME Y14.5
- Problem resolution skills applied to providing solutions for design and assembly techniques, technologies and concepts
