Position Details:
- The hiring range for this role is typically between $29.00 and $35.00 an hour, with the full range extending to $42.00 an hour, based on experience, internal equity, and career progression
- This position will be In- Office
- Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Primary Function:
The Material Handler III is responsible for leading material handling operations, coordinating team activities, and ensuring optimal inventory control. This role involves process improvement, mentoring, and supporting complex material movement to enhance efficiency and meet client expectations.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
- Mentor Material Handlers I and II on proper procedures, ERP transactions, and safety protocols.
- Manage and optimize material movement and storage for multiple processes.
- Oversee cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Coordinate receiving, picking, and shipping operations to ensure on-time delivery.
- Analyze material handling processes and recommend improvements.
- Support ERP system enhancements and advanced reporting needs.
- Serve as point of contact for operational issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant material handling experience
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Advanced understanding of ERP systems and inventory control processes
- Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group
- Demonstrate commitment and adherence to Sigma Design Core Values
- Pass a post-offer background verification
Work Environment
Standard warehouse/production environment which requires regular sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and moving about the facility. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperatures.
