Assistant Director of Exploratory Education
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Boston Architectural College (BAC) is committed to providing all our students an integrated and exemplary educational experience while ensuring their individual success and empowering them to fully actualize their potential.
The Assistant Director of Exploratory Education will focus on the recruitment, advising of all engaged learners outside of our degree programs. Some of these learners include certificate students, adult students taking courses for professional and/or personal growth and pre-college students.
This is a full-time exempt position of 40 hours per week, reporting to Director of Exploratory Education.
PRIMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide proactive, professional, and friendly service in all interactions.
- Manage recruitment for all engaged learners within Exploratory Education
- Attend open houses and meet with students and families regarding Exploratory Education opportunities
- Manage communications each semester for courses/opportunities offered
- Manage CRM data in Salesforce to cultivate inquiries and provide effective communications to all learners; past, present, and future.
- Support new certificate program creation
- Track engaged learners as compared to goals
- Advise certificate students on progress, course sequence and offerings
- Manage the external website content for all engaged learners within Exploratory Education
- Manage administrative functions for the Summer Academy program
- Assist the Director with Pre-College initiatives
- Assist with administering grants for specific initiatives
- Work with Admissions and International Student Services regarding exchange and visiting students
- Manage the awarding and tracking of digital badges
- Other tasks as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL criteria: Bachelors degree from an accredited institution preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years experience in higher education.
- 1-3 years' experience in admissions, marketing and/or continuing education preferred.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS :
- Must be detail oriented.
- Computer literate, including effective use of Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and consultative skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize.
- Ability and willingness to support collaborative efforts.
- Be committed to the mission of the BAC and carry out the highest quality of service to BAC constituencies.
Work Schedule requirements:
- This is a hybrid position. At least 2 days a week in person will be required. Days in the office may vary depending on the time of year and the needs of the office.
- Must be able to work flexible hours in accordance with the academic season.
Salary Range : $54,000-$62,000
