It combines operations, strategy, design, and fabrication to create exhibits and events that engage communities, generate brand enthusiasm, and educate consumers. The Purpose:

Czarnowski is seeking a Junior 3D Designer to support design within our Plano Design Studio. This is a great opportunity for an early-career designer with strong design fundamentals and a real passion for experiential design—spatial storytelling, and a curiosity for how a guest moves through and experiences a space. The ideal candidate brings a foundational understanding of exhibit design, along with general design intent and execution methodology, and is hungry to learn and grow—including exploring AI tools to help generate and refine 3D visuals.

The Job:

- Assist in developing design solutions that clearly communicate brand goals and strategy

- Support presentations that deliver the objectives of the brief and clearly articulate design solutions

- Assist with ideation, direction sketches, design models and visualizations for exhibit spaces across multiple shows, with attention to how a guest flows through and experiences each environment

- Work alongside and learn from the ECD, ACD, and Senior/Mid-Level Designers to help translate the brand into an emotional, multi-dimensional experience with a vision of look and feel

- Work alongside graphic designers on environmental graphic applications

- Explore and apply AI-assisted design tools to help generate, iterate on, and refine 3D visuals and renderings

- Manage time effectively across assigned tasks and projects

- Assist with projects from concept through completion, supporting presentations and coordinating with account, graphic design, and production

- Help prepare clear layouts for print production, art files, estimating and production documentation

- Assist with the handoff process from Design to engineering through execution

- Check in regularly with the Creative Director and Senior/Mid-Level Designers for feedback and direction throughout the duration of the project

- Bring energy and optimism to the team, contributing fresh ideas to help advance the program and its goals

- Some traveling maybe required as well as extended hours at night, weekends and during holidays

The Person:

- Foundational understanding of technologies, materials & techniques

- Developing ability to understand a brand at its core and translate it into other experiential mediums

- Passionate about experiential and spatial design, with genuine curiosity about how a guest flows through and experiences a space

- Interest in and willingness to learn AI-powered tools for generating and enhancing 3D visuals

- Solid design aesthetics and a willingness to adapt to a breadth of brand styles and mediums

- Good interpersonal communication skills across all mediums

- Eager, high-energy mentality with a strong desire to learn and grow

- Coursework or project experience in large format graphics & 3-dimensional environments

- Working knowledge of design tools such as 3DS Max, Rhino, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

- Understanding of photography and image manipulation techniques

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a creative team

- Organizational skills

- Developing time management skills - ability to balance multiple tasks while maintaining quality and consistency.

- 3D knowledge is a must

- BFA (or equivalent coursework in progress) in industrial design, exhibit design, interior, architectural or equivalent

- 0-2 years of industry experience (internships and academic projects welcome)
