Job Summary
Expand Energy is scaling its digital and AI capabilities across the organization, and this role leads that effort for the business side of the equation: helping business areas identify, adopt, and get real value from technology that improves how they work.
The Manager, Digital Enablement is accountable for ensuring the business is successful in the Digital Advancement roadmap and coordinating the adoption, change management, and data-readiness activities needed to drive successful outcomes — partnering closely with business stakeholders, IT, and Digital Advancement to align priorities and execute against that roadmap. The team responsibilities include data stewardship and governance, change management, adoption, and solution-specific training and enablement.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Leading the Team
• Lead Digital Enablement as one team spanning data foundations and solution enablement disciplines, united by a shared mission: helping the business adopt and realize value from technology
• Own accountability for executing the Digital Advancement roadmap and coordinating the adoption, change management, governance, and data-readiness activities needed to drive successful outcomes
• Partner closely with business stakeholders, IT, and Digital Advancement to align priorities and execute against the domain transformation roadmap
• Define and maintain handoff mechanisms — ownership, support models, operational boundaries, and transition processes — so every solution has a clear, sustainable home once delivered, regardless of who built it
• Serve alongside data science leadership and solution architecture leadership — providing the program-level governance Fusion Teams need to execute successfully
Data Foundations
• Help business areas progress up the data maturity curve — improving data ownership, stewardship, accountability, governance, and data literacy — regardless of where a given solution's data originates
• Ensure data product readiness and reusability across domain data assets, so new solutions are built on solid foundations
• Escalate data gaps with enterprise-wide implications to the centralized IT data team, rather than letting every domain build solutions on disparate data products
Solution Enablement
• Own change management and adoption across the full portfolio, regardless of delivery model — purchased, centrally delivered, configured, or business-built. Whoever delivers a solution surfaces initial change-readiness signals; this team facilitates the resulting plan and sees adoption through to completion
• Watch across what the business is building relative to our aligned domain roadmaps and IT’s architectural blueprint, and be willing to call it out directly when something is a distraction from the plan, duplicates a solution that already exists, or isn’t using the right tools — keeping the business working on the right things, the right way
• Establish clear business ownership for every implemented solution, so adoption and value realization don't stop at go-live
• Build a repeatable training and enablement playbook so business units don't need a formal project just to get help
• Ensure business units get connected to the right tool-specific Community of Practice
What Success Looks Like
• Increased adoption and value realization of technology investments across the organization, regardless of how each solution was delivered
• Measurable progress on the data maturity curve: stronger data ownership and stewardship, more mature use of the data catalog, increased reuse of governed data models, and clearer accountability for critical data assets
• Measurable progress on the digital adoption curve: solutions reach and hold real usage, tracked one consistent way across the portfolio
• Clear, sustainable ownership and support models exist for every delivered solution, with no gap between deployment and long-term operation
Job Specific Skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; able to work effectively with all levels of the organization
• Able to manage time and prioritize across multiple concurrent initiatives without a fully mature playbook
• Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
• Knowledge of change management and adoption methodologies, including training design and measurement of adoption outcomes
• Ability to assign, delegate, and direct the work of a team spanning both technical (data) and non-technical (enablement) disciplines toward one shared mission
• Comfortable standing up a new function without an inherited playbook; this team is being built, not inherited
• Oil & gas or adjacent heavy-industry experience preferred but not required
Education
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Engineering, Geoscience or related field
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS, Data/Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience
Minimum: 12 years related work experience
Preferred: Experience spanning leadership, organizational influence, change management, and data stewardship
