Job Summary:

The Senior Associate, Data Research develops and delivers commercial real estate (CRE) research, analytics, and insights using internal and external economic, financial, lending, and market data sources. This role analyzes complex datasets and translates findings into clear market intelligence, risk analysis, forecasts, models, visual content, and research materials that support informed, data-driven decision-making. The Senior Associate independently manages assigned research projects, maintains analytical tools and databases, and communicates findings through presentations, written materials, webinars, podcasts, and other channels. This role also reviews deliverables for accuracy and consistency, helps improve repeatable research processes, and provides guidance to team members as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver CRE research covering market performance, economic developments, lending trends, and key financial indicators.

- Source, organize, and analyze internal and external data to generate quantitative and qualitative insights, market intelligence, and analytical solutions.

- Develop, maintain, and enhance tools, models, and databases that provide timely intelligence on risk, market performance, and lending activity.

- Prepare economic forecasts, statistical analyses, risk evaluations, and presentations that communicate clear, evidence-based findings.

- Produce timely perspectives on economic, CRE, banking, and financial conditions in national and local markets.

- Create and edit research content for internal and external audiences across websites, market briefings, presentations, webinars, podcasts, and written reports.

- Collaborate with Client Services to support research offerings and communicate insights effectively to clients.

- Review analytical tools, presentations, and written deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and overall quality.

- Provide guidance to team members on research methods, data sources, analytical approaches, and deliverable quality.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Economics, Business, Real Estate, Finance, Data Research, or a related field.

- 3+ years of relevant experience analyzing commercial real estate, CRE finance, lending, economic or market conditions, financial institutions, or related risk factors.

- Demonstrated experience assessing, organizing, and integrating economic, financial, real estate, lending, or market data from multiple sources into clear insights.

- Proficiency with analytical tools, data visualization platforms, statistical or modeling software, and research databases.

- Experience independently managing research or analytical assignments from initial data gathering through final delivery.

- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to audiences of varying sizes.

- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, accountability, and responsiveness, with the ability to manage time-sensitive, competing demands in a dynamic environment.

- Ability to improve repeatable research, reporting, and quality review processes and provide guidance to less-experienced team members.
