Our EA Experiences group is dedicated to ensuring great experiences for our growing communities centered around our world-renowned brands. Within Fan Care, the Game Lifecycle Management team partners across Studios, Community, Product, Self-Service, Live Operations, and Fan Intelligence to align strategies that improve fan experiences throughout a game's lifecycle.
As a Product Management Intern, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of fan engagement. You will support product discovery, fan research, roadmap development, and performance analysis. By bridging player sentiment, moderation insights, and platform analytics, you will help continuously improve the fan experience based on real-time feedback enabling senior Product Management leaders to drive strategic, portfolio-wide initiatives across EA's gaming communities.
This internship is designed to offer hands-on, full-lifecycle product experience: from identifying a core fan problem and defining hypotheses, to designing solutions and presenting actionable recommendations to executive stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
1. Product Discovery & Fan Research
- Problem Definition: Conduct discovery sessions to break down complex community challenges into clear problem statements, user personas, and customer journey maps.
- Benchmarking & Market Analysis: Research emerging trends in gaming community platforms, moderation tooling, and social engagement mechanics to uncover new product opportunities.
- Recommendations: Feature recommendations and prioritization based on research and data analytics.
2. Performance Analysis & Metrics Tracking
- Funnel & Health Metrics: Track and analyze key platform metrics, including daily active engagement, thread creation, Accepted Solution findability, and moderation health.
- Data-Driven Insights: Synthesize telemetry, survey responses, and forum interaction data into digestible dashboards and executive readouts.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
- Team Synergy: Partner closely with Community Operations, Engineering, Experience Design, Player Safety, and Studio Publishing partners.
- Intern Capstone Project: Own an end-to-end discovery-to-recommendation project focused on a high-impact EA Forums initiative, culminating in a final presentation to Fan Care leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. Must be an graduating no earlier than December 2027 .
- Demonstrated interest or foundational coursework in Product Management, User Experience, or Digital Platform operations.
- Analytical mindset with experience interpreting qualitative feedback and quantitative data (Excel/Google Sheets, SQL, or dash-boarding tools like Tableau/Looker).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting ideas clearly and synthesizing complex topics.
- Active enthusiasm for video games, player communities, and online discussion platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship, club leadership, or project experience in a software, product, or tech environment.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack, Figma).
- Experience with or passion for community platforms (e.g., Discourse, Khoros, Reddit, Discord).
