Location: Novo Precision Bristol, CT

Shift: 9-5:30pm

Position Summary:

Novo Precision is seeking an experienced and motivated CNC Swiss Technical Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This position will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting CNC programs and manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of high-quality precision components.

The ideal candidate will have strong CNC Swiss programming and machining knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production. Experience with Tsugami CNC Swiss machining is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC Swiss programs for precision manufacturing operations.

- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models to determine appropriate machining methods and programming requirements.

- Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, cutting parameters, and machining strategies.

- Support machine setups, prove-outs, first-piece runs, and new product introductions.

- Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machining issues on the production floor.

- Optimize existing programs to improve cycle times, quality, tool life, and overall manufacturing efficiency.

- Work closely with machinists, setup personnel, Engineering, and Quality to resolve manufacturing challenges.

- Assist with process development and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Ensure programs and processes meet established quality and customer requirements.

- Maintain accurate program revisions and manufacturing documentation.

- Provide technical support and guidance to machine operators and setup personnel as needed.

Qualifications

- Previous CNC Swiss programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.

- Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, tooling, speeds and feeds, and manufacturing processes.

- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and specifications.

- Experience with CAD/CAM programming software.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Experience programming and/or working with Tsugami Swiss CNC machines is a plus .

- Experience in a high-precision or tight-tolerance manufacturing environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.

- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

- Ability to safely enter and exit company vehicles and perform loading and unloading duties.
