The Role
Reporting to the Lead, ERP Functionals, you will serve as the enterprise process owner and functional authority for all commercial, order management, pricing, and distribution systems across Mars Snacking Accelerator. You will steer the OTC capability roadmap, directly line-manage the OTC Functional Analyst, and hold core accountability for advanced fulfillment capabilities (ATP/aATP), complex CPG pricing, and 3PL warehouse/EDI integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Strategy & aATP Architecture: Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics leaders to convert commercial goals into ERP capabilities. Architect Available-to-Promise (ATP) , including Product Allocation (PAL) and Backorder Processing (BOP), to optimize customer OTIF fill rates.
- Pricing & Clean Core Governance: Architect standard SAP condition schemas for tiered customer pricing, trade deduction workflows, customer chargebacks, and broker commissions.
- 3PL Logistics & Commercial EDI Ecosystem: Own functional integration between SAP S/4HANA and external 3PL warehouse systems (WMS/TMS). Govern mission-critical retail/distributor EDI flows: EDI 850, 855, 856, 810, 940, and 945.
- Team Leadership & Development: Directly lead, mentor, and oversee the OTC Functional Analyst. Masterfully match the analyst and partner resources to initiatives based on project complexity and individual strengths.
- Project Delivery & AMS Support: Execute commercial initiatives using SAP Activate, SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), Jira, Monday.com, and Smartsheet. Manage AMS support partners against formal SLA/KPI frameworks (MTTR, FCR, order-cycle ticket resolution).
- AI, Cloud Releases & Mars Standards: Drive adoption of AI agents and SAP Situation Handling in a single strategy to proactively resolve order blocks and delivery exceptions.
Qualifications (Must-Haves):
- Experience: 8+ years of enterprise ERP experience specializing in Order-to-Cash (OTC) / Sales & Distribution (SD); demonstrated experience mentoring and leading functional analysts.
- SAP S/4HANA Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience architecting, delivering, and leading SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD/OTC) solutions, with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience considered a strong plus.
- Fulfillment & Pricing Depth: In-depth functional mastery of ATP, Advanced ATP (PAL, ABC, BOP), complex condition techniques, rebates, and customer deduction workflows.
- 3PL & EDI Integration: Proven track record integrating SAP with external 3PL WMS/TMS partners and governing retail EDI transactions (850, 855, 856, 810, 940, 945).
- Industry: 5+ years in CPG or Food & Beverage environments (grocery/retail customer requirements, shelf-life allocation rules, customer fines/chargebacks, distributor networks).
- Delivery & Tooling: Experience using SAP Activate, SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), Jira, Monday.com, or Smartsheet, combined with AI agent and Situation Handling exception automation.
- Governance & Controls: Understanding of Mars commercial controls, role-based security catalogs, Segregation of Duties (SoD), and AMS partner SLA management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or MBA.
- SAP S/4HANA Cloud Sales certification or SAP Activate certification.
The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the below range, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay & general allowances (depending on the position and employee’s work schedule). Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans then in effect, and depending on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule), eligible employees are automatically enrolled in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents, and may be eligible to take up to 18 weeks of paid parental leave. Employees will also receive the following paid-time off (which may be prorated based on start date and the employee’s work schedule): 120 hours of vacation per year, paid sick time for eligible Associates of 100% pay continuation for a maximum of 40 hours per calendar year, and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year that include both fixed and flexible holidays.
