Job Description The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for managing and coordinating production schedules to ensure on-time delivery. The role involves identifying and communicating parts shortages, generating timelines for urgent parts, and adding priority to work orders using plant software tools. Responsibilities
- Status delinquencies and shortages, identifying their location within the plant and projected delivery dates.
- Manage and coordinate short flow, AOG, priority requirements, and not moving orders by negotiating due dates.
- Identify potential problems and propose alternatives for resolution.
- Communicate parts shortages and generate timelines for urgent parts upon request.
- Prioritize work orders and shipping schedules using tools such as AS400 and email.
- Become knowledgeable of and adhere to company procedures.
- Support other team positions as needed.
- Follow all applicable job tools and plant procedures including SPs, work instructions, and modules.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet company growth and customer expectations.
- Work well under pressure to meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
- Demonstrate cooperative and civil behavior with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in planning and scheduling, production planning, and using Excel formulas.
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Ability to track and schedule effectively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred. Candidates without this will need to pass a pre-employment assessment.
- Experience with manufacturing software, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Capability to work with minimal supervision.
- Fast learner.
Work Environment The position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Noise levels vary from quiet to extremely loud, and personal protective equipment is mandatory on the manufacturing floor. Occasionally, lifting and moving of 10-50 pounds may be required. The role is onsite with a 7am start time, and employees have the opportunity to move into scheduling, operations, production control, and commercial roles if they perform well. The company fosters a cross-functional mentality, allowing individuals to learn and grow in their desired areas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
