Key Responsibilities:
Construction Planning & Site Execution:
- Lead all mechanical construction activities for Zeeco package equipment, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality execution in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and contractual requirements.
- Develop detailed site execution strategies, construction methodologies, work sequencing, and installation plans for complex mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate project mobilization activities, including manpower deployment, equipment planning, logistics, construction resources, and site readiness.
- Ensure effective coordination between engineering, procurement, QA/QC, planning, commissioning, and client representatives throughout project execution.
Mechanical Construction Activities:
Lead and supervise all mechanical construction activities including:
- Equipment installation
- Structural steel erection
- Mechanical alignment
- Precision leveling
- Welding coordination
- Bolt tensioning
- Pipe fabrication and erection
- Hydrostatic testing
- Pneumatic testing
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
- Refractory installation
- Refractory dry-out
- Expansion joint installation
- Insulation coordination
- Mechanical completion activities
- Punch point clearance
Ensure all work is executed in accordance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and client specifications.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
- Promote and maintain Zeeco's "Safety First" culture throughout all project phases.
- Ensure strict compliance with refinery, petrochemical, and industrial plant safety standards.
- Administer Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, including:
- Hot Work
- Confined Space Entry
- Working at Heights
- Critical Lifting
- Excavation
- Electrical Isolation
- Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO)
- Conduct site safety inspections and ensure implementation of corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.
- Drive zero-incident project execution.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure construction activities comply with:
- Approved drawings
- Project specifications
- International Codes
- Client standards
- QA/QC procedures
- Coordinate inspections with client representatives and third-party agencies.
- Review NCRs, site observations, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure complete construction documentation and turnover dossiers.
Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning Support:
Lead mechanical completion and commissioning activities including:
- Mechanical Completion Walkdowns
- Punch List Closure
- Equipment Preservation
- Loop Checks Support
- Rotating Equipment Alignment
- Refractory Dry-Out
- Burner Start-up Support
- Functional Testing
- Dry Runs
- Wet Runs
- Performance Guarantee Testing

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Professional certifications in Construction Management, Rigging, Lifting Operations, or Project Management will be an added advantage.
- Safety certifications such as OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
- Certification in Welding Inspection (CSWIP/CWI), NDT, or QA/QC is desirable.
Experience:
- 10–15 years of experience in mechanical construction and site execution within the Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, LNG, Power, Heavy Engineering, or EPC industries.
- Minimum 5 years leading site construction teams for large engineered package equipment.
- Proven experience in installation and commissioning of flare systems, thermal oxidizers, incinerators, fired heaters, waste heat boilers, or similar combustion equipment.
- Experience working at live refinery, petrochemical, or process plant sites.
- Experience handling domestic and international EPC construction projects is preferred.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical construction practices for heavy engineered package equipment.
- Thorough understanding of structural derrick erection and demountable flare installation methodologies.
- Sound knowledge of piping systems, structural steel, rotating equipment installation, and refractory systems.
- Strong understanding of ASME, API, ANSI, AWS, ASTM, AISC, ISO, and other applicable international standards.
- Familiarity with welding procedures, NDT techniques, hydrotesting, and mechanical completion requirements.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, isometrics, fabrication drawings, lifting drawings, and vendor documentation.
- Knowledge of construction planning, productivity measurement, resource planning, and project controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project considered advantageous.
