Earn $90,000 to $115,000 a year as the Infection Preventionist - Registered Nurse(RN) at Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights. You'll work Monday to Friday days, have Daily Pay access, and hear back from us within 48 hours of applying.

As our Infection Preventionist, you'll keep residents and team members safe across the whole campus.
What you'll do
- Run the infection prevention and control program for every care setting on campus
- Track infections, spot trends, and turn the data into clear reports and action plans
- Teach and coach nurses and CNAs on infection prevention practices
- Do regular rounds and audits on each unit
- Lead employee health programs for team members
- Work with clinical leaders, the local health department, and state regulators on reporting and survey readiness
- Mentor nursing staff and serve as the go-to clinical resource for infection questions
What you'll need
Required:
- Current Illinois RN license
- Completion of the CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training Course, or equivalent, within 30 days of hire (Illinois requirement)
Preferred:
- 1 year or more as an Infection Preventionist
- Experience teaching or training staff
- Experience in geriatrics or long-term care
- APIC Fundamentals of Surveillance, Prevention, and Control, or CIC certification
- Comfort analyzing data and writing reports

Schedule
Full-time, Monday to Friday, day shift. Now and then you may need to flex your hours for training, audits, or an outbreak response.
