About you and this role
Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Specialist for Wire & Cable and Construction located in Houston, TX ! In this role, you will serve as a growth catalyst by translating market insights into actionable strategies, identifying, and commercializing high-value opportunities, accelerating innovation adoption, and enabling commercial success through data-driven market intelligence and go-to-market execution.
Responsibilities
- Drive Go-to-Market Execution: Partner with Strategic Marketing Managers to translate growth strategies into actionable market plans, ensuring effective execution across target segments, applications, and channels.
- Identify & Prioritize Growth Opportunities: Lead market scouting, assessment, and opportunity evaluation efforts to identify high-potential applications, quantify market attractiveness, and build a robust commercialization pipeline.
- Manage Opportunity Pipeline: Generate demand, support lead creation, track opportunity progression, and collaborate with commercial teams to improve conversion rates and accelerate growth.
- Accelerate Innovation Commercialization: Partner with Marketing, Product, and technical teams to prioritize, develop, and commercialize portfolio innovations that address attractive market opportunities and customer needs.
- Develop Market & Competitive Insights: Build deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, competitive positioning, pricing structures, and value chains to identify growth levers and support margin expansion.
- Create Compelling Value Propositions: Quantify customer value and develop differentiated positioning strategies that strengthen competitive advantage and drive business growth.
- Lead Marketing Communications: Develop and execute integrated marketing communication strategies that enhance brand visibility, customer engagement, and demand generation.
- Enable Commercial Success: Ensure effective sales enablement tools, customer-facing content, and channel support programs are in place to maximize market penetration and business growth.
- Leverage Market Intelligence & Digital Tools: Utilize market intelligence platforms, analytics, AI, and automation tools to improve decision-making, identify emerging opportunities, and enhance marketing effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or relevant military degree equivalence at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant marketing experience.
- A minimum requirement for these U.S. based positions is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in the Wire & Cable and/or Construction markets, preferably with specialty plastics, advanced materials, or polymer-based solutions.
- Digital, data, and AI‑enabled marketing leadership.
