Your role Key responsibilities in your new role
You will help shape the future of embedded security by developing advanced cryptographic solutions for Infineon's security devices. Collaborating with a global team of experts, you will drive secure software innovation, strengthen protection against sophisticated attacks, and deliver technology that enables trusted digital interactions worldwide.
- Develop cryptographic algorithms on embedded controller considering the balance between security / code size / performance and maintainability
- Test, debug and optimize software on Infineon’s Security Devices
- Implement test cases for automated regression testing
- Execute threat modeling, code reviews and documentation
- Collaborate with a very integrated multinational team , sharing knowledge and working closely with peers, including pair programming, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the highest security standards
Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
You are passionate about developing high-quality, security-critical software and approach challenges with accuracy, rigor, and a systematic mindset. Working collaboratively across global teams, you strive to deliver reliable solutions that meet the highest security and quality standards.
- A Master degree in Electrical Engineering , Mathematics , Computer Science or a similar field of studies
- 3+ years of experience in cryptography and embedded software development or other relevant experience
- Good knowledge of side-channel attacks ( DPA ), differential fault attacks ( DFA ) and probing attacks , as well as experience with the corresponding state-of-the art countermeasures
- Good know-how in embedded microcontroller programming (e.g. ARM Cortex) using assembler , C , and Object-Oriented programming
- Proven experience implementing symmetric , asymmetric , hash based , or postquantum cryptographic algorithms
- Experience with security measures in microcontrollers and/or circuit design
- Fluency English , German is a plus

Salary pay information:
Location Indicative salary range Padova, Italy €43.440 - €59.730
The stated salary comprises annual base pay and target variable compensation. The starting salary is determined using objective, gender neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, and role scope; prior compensation is not requested or considered. Employees also benefit from a comprehensive total rewards package, which may include further compensation and benefit elements depending on local regulations and company policies.
