Position Overview

The  Human Resources Generalist  provides hands-on HR support to employees and leaders across A rmstrong . This role focuses on employee relations, recruitment and onboarding, HR administration, and supporting HR programs and initiatives. It is a blend of operational excellence and proactive partnership, ensuring HR practices are consistent, compliant, and aligned with our company values.

Key Accountabilities

Employee Lifecycle Management

- Serve as the primary contact for employees on HR policies, programs, and inquiries

- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for assigned roles — posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and supporting offer preparation

- Facilitate onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth transition for new employees

- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems

Employee Relations & Support

- Provide day-to-day guidance on benefits, employee relations, performance, and workplace matters

- Support investigations and assist in implementing corrective actions when necessary

- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment aligned with Armstrong’s culture and values

HR Programs & Administration

- Administer and support HR programs such as annual reviews, merit increases, and recognition initiatives

- Coordinate benefits enrollment, payroll changes, and leave management in collaboration with the Total Rewards team

- Maintain compliance with employment legislation ( ADA, FMLA, E EOC, ERISA, O SH A, and so on )

- Manage leave administration (Federal and state programs)

- Prepare reports and maintain documentation for audits and compliance

Training, Development & Engagement

- Support implementation of learning and development programs,
including individual development plans (IDP ’ s)

- Assist with employee engagement surveys, data analysis, and follow-up actions

- Help coordinate internal events and communication activities to strengthen culture and engagement

HR Projects & Continuous Improvement

- Participate in HR initiatives such as policy updates, process enhancements, and system improvement s

- Support change initiatives and workforce planning activities as needed

Key Skills and Qualification s

- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

- 2+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a corporate or manufacturing environment.

- Working knowledge of US employment laws and HR best practices

- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills
