About this role
The Marketing Strategist, Product will own marketing strategy, planning, and execution for an assigned suite of products, strategies, and related services, generally organized by asset class. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Marketing, Product, this individual will serve as the marketing organization’s lead for the assigned product suite and build scalable, always-on programs that translate complex investment concepts into clear, differentiated, advisor-relevant stories. The role offers the opportunity to shape how products are positioned, brought to market, and connected to advisor needs across channels.
The Strategic Marketing team connects business priorities, audience needs, product stories, and the marketing work required to bring those stories to market. Strategic product and strategic client marketers partner closely to develop differentiated product storytelling at scale and tailor it for priority wealth management clients. Success in this role requires product knowledge, advisor audience insight, digital strategy, content development, hands-on execution, strong cross-functional leadership, and comfort operating in ambiguity.
What you will do:
- Serve as the marketing subject-matter expert for the assigned product suite, including the relevant asset class, market themes, competitive positioning, advisor use cases, and portfolio applications.
- Own the full campaign lifecycle for marketing initiatives supporting the assigned product suite—from opportunity identification, strategy, audience definition, positioning, and channel planning through content development, activation, sales enablement, measurement, optimization, and follow-up.
- Establish objectives and success measures, manage timelines, deliverables, budgets, approvals, and dependencies, and hold cross-functional partners accountable for delivering an integrated campaign on time and against distribution goals.
- Proactively identify timely market, portfolio, advisor, and business themes, and lead the development and activation of integrated thematic campaigns that connect relevant products and capabilities to advisor needs and distribution priorities.
- Take a hands-on role in building, refining, organizing, and optimizing scalable marketing assets and sales enablement systems across web, email, social, collateral, thought leadership, video, advisor tools, events, and sales materials.
- Develop always-on and triggered digital experiences that support advisor awareness, education, consideration, and sales engagement.
- Translate advisor segment insights into targeted messaging, content pathways, channel strategy, personalization opportunities, and sales activation plans.
- Create consistent product storytelling that connects market opportunity, advisor need, investment solution, portfolio application, and the Natixis value proposition.
- Partner with affiliate investment managers, investment strategy, distribution, client marketing, digital, brand, compliance, and other marketing teams to deliver integrated advisor-facing programs.
- Lead day-to-day decision-making by clarifying objectives, proactively communicating, recommending priorities, resolving ambiguity, escalating issues appropriately, and helping partners make informed tradeoffs.
- Use campaign, content, behavioral, and digital engagement data to improve targeting, personalization, journey design, content performance, and sales follow-up.
- Ensure product and thematic content are accurate, compliant, on-brand, advisor-relevant, and consistent across channels.
- Identify opportunities to improve marketing scalability, content reusability, workflow efficiency, digital intelligence, and the connection between marketing engagement and sales activity.
- Take on stretch assignments, emerging priorities, and other responsibilities not explicitly listed in this job description when opportunities arise to advance distribution goals, respond to business needs, or support cross-functional initiatives. These responsibilities may include digital pilots, content transformation, new campaign models, and sales enablement improvements.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in product marketing, digital marketing, campaign strategy, financial services marketing, or related discipline.
- Experience in asset management, wealth management, investment product marketing, advisor marketing, or financial services, with the ability to build product and asset-class fluency and translate investment concepts into clear, differentiated marketing for financial advisor audiences.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence without direct authority, manage senior stakeholders, coordinate complex workstreams, make practical decisions, and deliver high-quality programs on deadline.
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, structure undefined work, assess priorities, solve problems, and keep initiatives moving in an ambiguous environment.
- Experience developing digital journeys, triggered campaigns, content ecosystems, sales enablement programs, web content, campaign assets, or marketing automation programs.
- Ability to lead and facilitate productive discussions, ask thoughtful questions, challenge constructively, resolve friction, and keep stakeholders focused on shared goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex topics, explain recommendations and tradeoffs, and tailor messages for business partners.
- Analytical and organizational strength, with the ability to interpret campaign, content, digital, and audience data, manage details and deadlines, and continuously improve marketing performance.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and analytics platforms—such as Marketo, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target, Adobe Workfront, or Saifr—and interest in the responsible use of artificial intelligence to improve content, personalization, workflows, and performance measurement.
- Series 6 license required (or must be obtained within nine months of hire). A Series 7 license and/or professional investment designations such as CFA, CAIA, or similar credentials are strongly preferred.
