Position Summary
The Supply Chain Expeditor accelerates the flow of critical components in transit to support cloud and AI rack integration lines. This role focuses entirely on tracking, updating, and rushing incoming shipments by working in constant alignment with Supply Chain Managers, Procurement, and Warehouse teams. In this role you will be both cross-functional and supplier facing, supporting best-in-class Supply Chain Managers & Material Planning Managers, ensuring mfg Supply – Capacity – Utilization.
Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)
- In-Transit Tracking & Monitoring: Actively track critical incoming shipments of compute, networking, and storage hardware. Monitor transit milestones to ensure components arrive ahead of production deadlines.
- Procurement Collaboration: Partner closely with the Procurement team to identify delayed supplier shipments. Drive immediate vendor updates and push for expedited freight methods on delayed orders.
- Warehouse Alignment: Coordinate with the Warehouse receiving team to flag inbound hot shipments. Ensure expedited materials are offloaded, processed, and routed immediately upon dock arrival.
- Supply Chain Communication: Provide real-time in-transit status updates to Supply Chain Managers. Flag potential transit delays early so planning teams can adjust build schedules accordingly.
- Logistics & Carrier Escalation: Work with freight forwarders and carriers to resolve shipping bottlenecks, customs delays, or routing issues for high-priority shipments.
- System Accuracy: Keep tracking logs, ERP records, and ETAs updated in real time to ensure the broader organization has accurate visibility into material arrival dates.
Core Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in material expediting, logistics tracking, or production control within high-tech electronics manufacturing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to build strong working relationships across supply chain, buying/procurement, and warehouse logistics operations.
- Sense of Urgency: Highly organized with a track record of actively resolving shipping bottlenecks under tight production deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and logistics tracking tools. Strong basic skills in Microsoft Excel.
Salary Range- $90K- $115K
