Job Requisition ID: 94807

Location Designation:  Hybrid - 3 days per week

Role Overview:

New York Life is seeking a highly strategic and innovative leader to establish and lead the Field Prospecting Strategy & Enablement function, a newly created enterprise capability responsible for defining, building, and continuously evolving the Company’s field-led, Home Office-enabled prospecting capability.

This leader will establish the enterprise strategy, operating model, best practices, measurement framework, and enablement capabilities that help Managing Partners, Development Managers, agents, and advisors consistently generate high-quality prospect opportunities through locally executed, relationship-driven prospecting.

The Field Prospecting Strategy & Enablement function serves as the bridge between enterprise strategy and local execution, translating centralized expertise into scalable capabilities that enable the field to prospect more effectively within their local markets.

This role serves as the enterprise owner for New York Life’s field prospecting capability-the systems, strategies, tools, AI-enabled capabilities, and enablement that empower the field to generate opportunities for themselves. Home Office lead generation programs remain complementary capabilities focused on generating names for the field. This role focuses on equipping the field to generate opportunities through the field by building scalable prospecting capabilities.

Working closely with Agency leadership, field stakeholders, Marketing, Digital, Technology, Data & AI teams, this leader will shape the future of field prospecting by combining centralized strategy, AI-enabled capabilities, and local activation into a scalable growth engine that strengthens the Agency system.

What You'll Do:

· Visionary leader who can define and communicate the long-term strategy for modernizing field prospecting while delivering measurable business outcomes.

· Ability to translate field insights into scalable capabilities, operating models, playbooks, measurement frameworks, and AI-enabled solutions that strengthen locally executed prospecting.

· Systems thinker who understands how people, process, technology, AI, and data work together to improve field execution.

· Builds strong partnerships across Marketing, Digital, Technology, Data & AI, Distribution, and Agency leadership to create an integrated field prospecting strategy.

· Creates a culture of innovation by identifying emerging technologies, competitive trends, and new approaches to relationship-driven prospecting.

· Uses analytics and field feedback to continuously improve business outcomes, optimize investments, and increase adoption.

· Champions the success of the field by building capabilities that simplify prospecting, improve execution, and accelerate growth.

· Establish and lead New York Life’s enterprise Field Prospecting Strategy & Enablement function. Build and lead a high-performing team.

· Develop the long-term vision, strategy, roadmap, and operating model for field-led, Home Office-enabled prospecting across the Agency system. Design enterprise capabilities that enable Managing Partners, Development Managers, agents, and advisors to execute locally driven prospecting strategies.

· Identify, document, and scale best practices from top-performing General Offices. Create scalable operating processes that balance centralized expertise with the flexibility required for local market execution.

· Develop standardized prospecting frameworks, operating models, playbooks, and capability roadmaps that enable Managing Partners and agents to build sustainable local prospecting systems.

· Conduct competitive intelligence and identify emerging market trends and technology that strengthen locally executed prospecting.

· Partner with selected General Offices to pilot, refine, and scale new field prospecting capabilities.

· Develop strategic recommendations that improve the effectiveness and scalability of the enterprise field prospecting capability.

· Define enterprise success metrics for field prospecting.

· Ensure clear alignment and coordination with complementary Home Office lead generation organizations while maintaining distinct ownership of field prospecting capabilities.

What You'll Bring:

· 10+ years of experience leading strategy, business transformation, field enablement, sales enablement, consulting, marketing strategy, or related enterprise functions.

· Proven success designing and scaling enterprise capabilities, operating models, or centers of excellence.

· Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and lead large, cross-functional strategic initiatives.

· Deep understanding of relationship-based selling and the prospecting behaviors that drive advisor and agent success, including local marketing, networking, referrals, community engagement, Centers of Influence, business owner strategies, and target market development.

· Strong business acumen with exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.

· Experience developing business cases, investment strategies, executive presentations, enterprise roadmaps, and capability strategies.

· Exceptional communication, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.

· Experience leading high-performing teams within highly matrixed organizations.

· Familiarity with CRM platforms, marketing technology, AI-enabled business capabilities, analytics, and digital ecosystems.

· Understanding of advisor or field sales organizations; financial services experience preferred.

· Knowledge of New York Life’s Agency structure and field operating model strongly preferred.
