About this role

CoVerica is a premier, employee-owned independent insurance agency with over 40 years of history, and we're actively expanding across the Dallas-Fort Worth market. We're looking for a Senior IT Desktop Technician to be the hands-on face of IT for our team. You'll keep our people productive by supporting desktops, laptops, Microsoft 365, and everyday business applications, resolving escalated issues, and helping us keep every device secure and running smoothly as the agency grows.

This role is based on-site at our Dallas-Fort Worth office. After an initial acclimation period, there is the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule.

A Little Bit About CoVerica
• Recognized as a Top 10 DFW Fastest Growing Property & Casualty Insurance Agency by the Dallas Business Journal.
• In business for over 40 years, with an in-place succession plan to remain independent for the next 40.
• Part of the national SIAA network, representing nearly $12.5 billion in insurance premium together.

Why CoVerica?
Because you shouldn't have to choose between the resources of a national carrier and the culture of a true independent. At CoVerica, you get both:
• The market access, carrier relationships, and technology of a premier, growing agency with over 40 years of history.
• The agility, autonomy, and true sense of ownership that only an independent, employee-owned firm can offer.
• A team that lives by two simple rules: we treat others as ourselves, and we do the right thing, even when it hurts.

What You'll Do
Desktop & End-User Support
• Provide responsive, friendly Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to employees by phone, email, and in person, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Serve as the escalation point for more complex desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues, and document solutions so they can be repeated.
• Set up, configure, and deploy new workstations and mobile devices, and manage the hardware lifecycle from onboarding to retirement.
Microsoft 365 & Collaboration Tools
• Support users across Microsoft 365, including Outlook and Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Handle user account setup, password resets, licensing, and permissions through Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft 365 admin tools.

Security & Device Management
• Use Kaseya (or a comparable RMM/endpoint management platform) for patching, monitoring, and remote support across the agency's device fleet.
• Support our security practices by keeping endpoints updated, assisting with backup and recovery (BDR) tasks, and escalating alerts from our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) partner.

Process & Teamwork
• Maintain accurate asset inventory, ticket records, and clear IT documentation.
• Coach teammates on common tech questions and help improve how IT support is delivered as CoVerica grows.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• 3-5 years of hands-on IT desktop support experience, ideally in an insurance agency, carrier, or other professional services environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.
• Working experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Familiarity with Kaseya or a comparable RMM tool, plus a general understanding of security basics such as
MDR and BDR.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the patience to explain technical topics in plain language.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals are a plus.

OUR CULTURE & WORK STYLE
We live by two simple rules: we treat others as ourselves, and we do the right thing, even when it hurts. We look for people who see challenges as opportunities, elevate the people around them, respect everyone they work with, value integrity above convenience, and keep expanding their own knowledge.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM COVERICA
• Base salary of $75,000 annually.
• Medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance added at no cost to you.
• Paid time off and bonus potential.
• Gym/fitness facility with employee keycard access.
• College loan repayment and tuition reimbursement programs.
• Team-building activities and a genuinely collaborative culture.
