Job Description
The VOE Territory Liaison serves as a key connector between VOE strategy and territory-level execution, providing hands-on support to strengthen volunteer recruitment, stewardship, recognition, and engagement across assigned territories. This position partners closely with VOE Advisors, Territory leadership, ALSAC staff, and designated Territory Area Leads to build territory-specific volunteer strategies, deepen local relationships, support consistent volunteer experiences, and maintain engagement momentum throughout the year.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Territory Volunteer Recruitment Strategy
Support the development and execution of territory- and area-specific volunteer recruitment strategies. Provide hands-on recruitment support throughout assigned territories. Help identify opportunities to leverage local market strengths to increase volunteer engagement. Partner with staff and Territory Area Leads to connect with community groups, companies, local organizations, and prospective volunteer networks.
2. Stewardship and Engagement
Support territory-specific stewardship strategies that help maintain volunteer connection and engagement throughout the year. Provide guidance and support to territory staff and volunteer leaders related to volunteer engagement best practices. Assist with community engagement opportunities, volunteer networking, and local engagement activities. Help ensure volunteers experience consistent, meaningful, and personalized touchpoints that deepen connection to the mission.
3. Recognition and Volunteer Experience
Support territory-specific recognition strategies and local recognition efforts. Assist with planning and coordination of volunteer recognition events, including National Volunteer Week activities at the territory level. Promote consistent use of VOE tools, templates, and resources to support efficient and meaningful recognition. Use dashboards, survey results, and engagement insights to identify opportunities to improve the volunteer experience.
4. Relationship Building and Local Momentum
Build and maintain relationships with territory staff, key volunteers, local organizations, and volunteer leaders. Support territory teams in strengthening market presence and maintaining volunteer engagement momentum throughout the year. Serve as a collaborative partner to Territory Area Leads, helping them execute localized recruitment, stewardship, and recognition strategies. Promote healthy collaboration, consistency, and best-in-class volunteer experience across assigned areas.
5. Operational Support and Collaboration
Partner with VOE Advisors to apply national frameworks, best practices, tools, templates, and training resources at the territory level. Help customize training or resources when needed in partnership with VOE Advisors and Territory Area Leads. Identify local volunteer engagement challenges, trends, and opportunities and elevate insights to VOE leadership. Support cross-functional collaboration to improve consistency, efficiency, and volunteer experience outcomes.
6. Key Responsibilities
Builds and supports territory- and area-specific volunteer recruitment, stewardship, and recognition strategies. Provides hands-on support to territory teams for volunteer recruitment, engagement, and recognition efforts. Develop relationships with local organizations, community partners, key volunteers, and volunteer leaders. Works with Territory Area Leads to customize local volunteer engagement approaches based on market needs. Supports staff and volunteer leaders in creating consistent, welcoming, and mission-centered volunteer experiences. Helps maintain year-round volunteer engagement momentum through local communications, events, stewardship, and recognition touchpoints. Partners with VOE Advisors to implement tools, templates, training, best practices, and scalable processes. Supports local execution of National Volunteer Week and other recognition strategies. Uses available data, dashboards, and volunteer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement. Promotes relational work, healthy collaboration, consistency, and best-in-class volunteer experiences across assigned territories.
Territory Liaisons focus on territory relationships, territory RSR strategy, hands-on support, and year-round momentum while VOE Advisors focus on frameworks, best practices, data, tools, templates, and scalable processes.
Job Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Work Week: Full time, M-F Occasional weekends Travel: 30%
- Experience working in an ALSAC Territory preferred.
Location Requirement:
To be eligible for this position, candidates must reside and perform their work in one of the following states: Georgia, Florida, Texas, or Oklahoma .
