As a Clinical Applications Analyst I, you will partner with clinicians, operational leaders, and Information Services teams to support and enhance Epic inpatient applications while developing expertise in healthcare technology and clinical workflows.

This role is ideal for a collaborative problem-solver who enjoys working with technology, improving processes, and helping end users achieve better outcomes.
We'd love to have someone with a strong customer mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills would be very helpful in this role. Finally, being able to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders is important.

This position may be eligible for remote work. However, St. Jude requires all remote employees to:
-Travel to our Memphis campus for the interview process and/or orientation, if selected
-Travel to Memphis to work on-site for one week per quarter, or as requested based on business needs, if hired.

Responsibilities:

- Participate in meetings with business teams to elicit and understand business/process requirements
- Conduct analyses to report emerging business needs; escalate problems when required.
- Support resolution of needs and requests of business teams within area, in coordination with other IT teams.
- Independently conduct activities related to assigned area (including documentation, communication with business teams) around enterprise IT platforms/services.
- Assist in optimization of standardized/pre-described business requirement gathering support processes in assigned area.
- Periodically present results to team in project meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

Key Preferred Responsibilities:

- Serve as a subject matter resource for assigned Epic inpatient applications.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to understand workflow and business requirements.
- Analyze processes and identify opportunities for workflow improvement and system optimization.
- Support application maintenance, upgrades, enhancements, and issue resolution.
- Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
- Participate in testing activities, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and validation.
- Maintain accurate project, workflow, and technical documentation.
- Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and team members.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and standardization efforts.
- Complete Epic training and certification requirements as assigned.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field preferred.

Minimum Experience:

- Some experience and/or understanding of structured Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Some experience and/or understanding of identifying and documenting business IT problem statements, application support, business process design and/or technical documentation preferred.
- Foundational knowledge of application support and/or business analysis in a clinical environment is preferred.

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $65,520 - $114,400 per year for the role of Clinical Applications Analyst I (EPIC Inpatient Applications).
