About this role
Description
We are looking for a Transport Specialist to own the end-to-end monthly Carrier Performance cycle. In this role, you will be responsible for generating carrier performance metrics, distributing performance reports to carrier partners, analyzing and resolving disputes raised by carriers, and closing the monthly performance with consolidated, accurate results. You will work closely with carriers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure transparency and accountability in performance management.
Key job responsibilities
Performance Data Generation:
1) Extract, consolidate, and validate carrier performance indicators (OTA, OTP, cancellations, incidents) from internal systems, dashboards, and databases.
2) Ensure data accuracy and integrity before distribution, performing quality checks and reconciliations on a regular basis.
3) Maintain and improve data extraction processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
4) Prepare and distribute periodic performance reports to each carrier partner, ensuring clarity, consistency, and timeliness.
5) Communicate performance results in a structured and professional manner, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas requiring attention.
6) Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers regarding performance data and report inquiries.
7) Receive and analyze disputes and contestations raised by carriers regarding reported performance indicators.
8) Track dispute trends and identify systemic data quality issues or process gaps.
9) Consolidate final performance results after dispute resolution, producing the official monthly carrier performance report.
10) Present monthly performance summaries to leadership, highlighting key outcomes, dispute volumes, and carrier trends.
11) Contribute to the evolution of performance measurement tools, templates, and processes.
12) Benchmark performance cycles against best practices and propose enhancements to improve cycle time and data quality.
A day in the life
1) Monitor data feeds and dashboards to ensure carrier performance indicators are being captured correctly.
2) Manage the dispute inbox: review new carrier contestations, prioritize pending analyses, and follow up on open cases.
3) Respond to carrier inquiries regarding performance reports, metrics clarification, and dispute status updates.
4) Maintain and update report templates, data extraction queries, and dispute tracking tools.
5) Attend alignment meetings with the Carrier Management and Operations teams.
6) Identify improvement opportunities and propose process or tooling enhancements.

The Carrier Performance team sits within Middle Mile Execution at Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Brazil. Our mission is to ensure full visibility and accountability over carrier performance across the Brazilian middle-mile network. We drive data-driven conversations with carrier partners, set clear expectations through structured performance cycles, and enable the broader Carrier Management organization to make informed decisions on tiering, scorecards, and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with SQL
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
